Work and clocks...

Boss lady is a real character. It bothers her if someone looks at the clock too much. It bothers me too, but I let it go. I know how BORING our job is. We have a woman in the morning who looks at the clock A LOT! She's always the first one to let us know its break time. She's the first one who goes on break. In fact one time she announced it was break time, or was it lunch time? No, I think it was break time, she went on break and we didn't follow at this particular time. She was going somewhere and noticed we didn't follow her. She came back all hysterical like and told us again, "You crazy people, it's break time! I told you that already! Now take your break!" We all went on break. At lunch time that day, she said it was lunch time. Boss Lady told me to go before the other one has a heart attack. I went.

We work with someone who has autism in the afternoon. He was looking at his watch every few seconds. Boss Lady noticed this and asked him where he had to go. He has a certain amount of time he has to work. He has no other place to go and we have clocks he can look at to see what time it is. She took his watch away. He was very upset about that. She also mentioned we have clocks for him to look at if he wants to know what time it is.

I have a tendency to look at the clock too, when the woman I'm working with the woman who checks the clock every few seconds. It make the day drag.

Yesterday, Boss Lady decided she was going to unplug the clocks at my table and at her table so no one could look to see what time it is. She said this yesterday morning that she would unplug the clocks that afternoon. I was thinking she's only kidding around or she'll forget. I also thought if it was going to happen, she'd do it after I left. Nope, neither happened. She did remember to unplug the clocks when I was there in the afternoon. I don't know what the time watcher will do when she can't tell us its break time.

I work with a bunch of loonies.

Do you remember the woman I refer to as Truck Driver/Sailor? She is now a manager and when she gets upset about something WATCHOUT!!! It's like cats are fighting. She'll just be complaining about something. It's good to get it out and not hold back, and she really lets out! Let me tell you!

School...

At one time at school I knew who the teachers were. This is when I first started the Office Skills Technology class. I stopped going for about 2 years because work got in the way. Things changed at work and I started going to school again. My favorite teacher was there at the beginning. After I came back she told me how to get back into the classes. One day during class at night everybody was saying goodbye to her. She was going to another branch of the school. I was dumbfounded.

Yes there were and are other teachers. She was one of the few who really knew how to help me. She talked to me at my level. I learned from her. She taught me things about Microsoft Office I never knew. I was very sad to see her leave. I had no idea she would be leaving. We said goodbye. Actually she was saying good bye to the whole class.

There is this other teacher who was trying to help the students with their questions. I ended up liking her. I did get over my favorite teacher. I never really forgot her. I would think of the old days every so often.

I go into class tonight and ask my second favorite teacher to help me. She did. She showed me how to do what I needed to do. I went back to some more school work. I had another question and was looking for my second favorite teacher and saw someone sitting at the teacher's desk. As I was approaching the desk, someone said hi to me. I noticed it was my long lost favorite teacher. I was so glad to see her. She came back! We got caught up. I lead a boring busy life and she leads an interesting life.

Now I have my 2 favorite teachers at night and they can help me with my school work.

I just thought I'd share that with you.

Jobs...

Just a quick note before I'm off to work. Yesterday my supervisor's boss showed up. We give all our complaints about working to him. He accepts what we say and understands and helps us work through. He asked me how my vacation was and what I did. I told him I relaxed and he said "Now that's what a vacation is for." I also told him I went to school and told him I'm taking Office Skills Technology. I told him I'm almost done and now I'm in a simulated job. I have a pretend office and am working in it through a book.

We got on the subject of him and I talking about my qualifications after I'm finished with school. I plan to be done by May. He's going to talk to me about me having an office job with the company I work for. If I do get a job with my company that means I wouldn't have to go job hunting and I get to keep my benefits.

I rather stay with the company I'm with. They know how I work and I know how they work. I've been with them almost nine years.

And to think I was going to stop blogging. Hogwash! I had nothing to say! Hogwash!

Back to work...

I went back to work today. I HATE TO STAND ALL DAY!!!! I have a stand up job and have to stand all day. Other than that it was ok. I had lots of energy from being on vacation for two weeks. I was in good spirits. At work I normally find the fault in everything.

When I went on vacation I was working 40 hours a week. Previous to that they cut my hours down to 35. I was ok with that and liked it. I got 5 hours more of sit down time. Then I went back to the 40 hours a week. My supervisor made that decision all on her own. Someone had gotten laid off and was brought back to work. Well, my supervisor's boss wasn't too happy about it, so the one who was brought back was laid off again. I'm back to my 35 hours a week.

I'm going to enjoy my free hour. I like getting home early, even if it is only an hour.

Another good thing about it is I get to go to school an hour earlier. I go to school 2 times a week. On my day off and one day during my work week. On the one work day I get one more hour of schooling which will help.

Oh, and you know what? We have to work on our day off to get Thanksgiving off. I think that stinks. That's what one gets for working for a non profit organization.

Ponderings...

First, before I go into my ponderings, I would like to tell you about my experience at Hyundai today. I did go and had some work done on my Elantra. I was looking at the Hyundai Sonnata and a salesman came out asking if I needed any help. I told him what I wanted and he said it cost so much. There was an ad in the paper that was about 2 or 3 thousand dollars cheaper. I didn't gripe about the price since I wasn't buying one today. Griping about how much I have to pay will be dad's job when the time comes. Besides I have a trade in that's in good running order, it may have a scratch or two, but these guys try and make all they can, so I figure I can do the same. I'm just following their example.

I asked about the trip computer and it will tell me how many miles it took me to get from point a to point b. That was a disappointment. I want it to tell me how much gas I have left. It'll only do that on the more expensive model. Well I want it on the car I want. It doesn't come with what I want. Even if I don't get the trip computer, I still want the car. It's a 5 star car. It's a safe car, and if you knew my driving record you'd wonder why I still drive.
___________________________________________________

Now for my ponderings.

You know all the mini food that is for us to eat? Mini m&m's, mini muffins, snacks like that? You know, smaller food. Anything with "mini" in front of it, is smaller. Small food. I have an idea. Why don't we make smaller dollar bills and smaller coins, mini money and pay for it with that? These are the kinds of things that go through my mind sometimes.

If you don't comment on both things I'll post the one you don't comment on again until you do.

I do have a cute post somewhere on here that I can post when you guys think its time to post again and I can't think of anything to say. I just have to remember to post it.

My Future car, hopefully...

Hyundai Sonata

I like Hyundai's an awful lot. I have a Hyundai Elantra and love it! Mine is crimson red. Red is my favorite color. One day I decided I wanted a Hyundai Sonata. It's a slightly bigger car and I like the way it looks. To me, its a classy car. It comes with different options. I want the trip computer. I'm going to get a price on it when I get my 30,000 mile checkup tomorrow morning.

I had a used car with a trip computer in it and it told me how much gas I used and how far I went and I thought that was neat. It told me how much gas I had left and stuff like that. To me that's a neat toy.

Dad says to always buy a car on the lot. That way you can negotiate the price. I'm not looking to buy yet, but that's something to put in the back of my mind.

Also I read someplace that you should never let the car salesperson know how much your monthly payments will be. You should walk out of there witb the whole price you'll be owing them. I made the mistake of telling one salesperson how much I could spend, which wasn't a bad idea, because Hyundai was very fair with me and took good care of me. I'm planning on staying with Hyundai for life.

One thing that's never happened to me is I got money back for the second Hyundai I purchased for being a loyal customer.

I don't know when I'm going to buy this car. I'm planning on when the time comes to trade in my Elantra.

Who amI trying to kid???

I can't leave any of you. I think it was Pink that has me convinced about not leaving you all. I'd miss you too much. I started to miss you after Pink posted.

I will blog when I have something to say.

I go back to work on Tuesday.

Maybe I'll tell you about the car I want to eventually buy one day.

Taking a Break...

I'm thinking of taking a break from blogging. I never can think of anything to write about. I always end up asking my loyal readers what I should write about. It shouldn't be that way. I may stop by your blogs and see how everything is. If anyone wants to keep in touch, just email me.

The question is???

Dycko, the clown, is wondering if he should add me to his blog. He really says he doesn't want to. He says on his blog:

"Meanwhile, Lambo is at it again. She is begging me to add her ovine blog to my exclusive list of affiliates. Frankly, I'm just not comfortable doing this. Lambo's G-rated blog is severely lacking in references to flatulence, bowel movements, blowjobs, porn, and poon. But I hate to be the one to disappoint the little ball of lint, so I'm putting it to a vote! You'll find a special Mighty Blog poll just below the Chat Hole in the sidebar.* " (There goes my "G" rating) The star is there because whatever the true results are, we'll never know because Dycko is going to alter them to suit his needs. I quote: "* Mighty Dyckerson reserves the right to alter poll results to his liking."

If he doesn't want to add me, fine. He shouldn't then. I won't be hurt.

My question to you all is should Dycko add me to his sidebar? What is your opinion? Unlke Dycko, I won't change the results.

The Worth of Women...

One Man's View from Lansing, KS: #245 The Worth of Women
This is a great read and so true.

One Flaw In Women
(you will see what it is in the end)

Women have strengths that amaze men.

They bear hardships and they carry burdens, but they hold happiness, love and joy.

They smile when they want to scream.

They sing when they want to cry.

They cry when they are happy and laugh when they are nervous.

They fight for what they believe in.

They stand up to injustice.

They don't take "no" for an answer when they believe there is a better solution.

They go without so their family can have.

They go to the doctor with a frightened friend.

They love unconditionally.

They cry when their children excel and cheer when their friends get awards.

They are happy when they hear about a birth or a wedding.

Their hearts break when a friend dies.

They grieve at the loss of a family member, yet they are strong when they think there is no strength left.

They know that a hug and a kiss can heal a broken heart.

Women come in all shapes, sizes and colors.

They'll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you to show how much they care about you.

The heart of a woman is what makes the world keep turning.

They bring joy, hope and love.

They have the compassion and ideas.

They give moral support to their family and friends.

Women have vital things to say and everything to give.

HOWEVER, IF THERE IS ONE FLAW IN WOMEN, IT IS THAT THEY FORGET THEIR WORTH.

This post is by Seymour part 2...

Ok, /t. thought Lon should get equal time. Lon is the werewolf /t. has living in his house. Here is a picture of Lon. Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket As you can see he is really scary looking.

One day /t. and Little Lamb met. They liked each other so much they decided they would share their blogs together. The lambs and I were already at Little Lamb's blog. She moved the lambs over to /t.'s blog. Lon volunteered to shepherd the lambs. It wasn't too bad with a werewolf for a shepherd. The scary part for Little Lamb and her lambs is when /t. put lamb carcasses in with the lambs. Then the lambs started to disappear one by one. That scared Little Lamb and Dolly so they all moved back here to Little Lamb's blog.

/t. and Little Lamb are still friends and visit each other on a regular basis.

And while I'm at it, let's straighten a few things out. There are some of you who think I'm a little, well, you know. You may have seen me with another turtle at some time. I was only rescuing him from the water. He was starting to drowned. So I gave him mouth to mouth. I didn't know it would cause such a stir in the blog world. And yes, I was rescuing that lamb from drowning too. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

This post is by Seymour...

Pink is the one who inspired this post. In Little Lamb's chat box Pinks asked: What's Seymour's story? What's up with this out of place turtle that looks so eager to please? Little Lamb explained that she found me on a forum. Actually here's how I met Little Lamb and the rest of the lambs.

Photobucket - Video and Image HostingPhotobucket - Video and Image HostingPhoto Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Little Lamb was out walking with Dolly, they really are best friends, or jumping rope as she always does when she's not lounging. They were walking and chattering away. Little Lamb can talk non stop when she sets her mind to it. They were walking by a farm and stopped to look at the cows in one area and horses and they also had lambs on the farm. Lambs make good pets, or so Little Lamb would have you believe. Lambs also need a lot of care and are no good in the wild. They're very trusting animals and make good prey for bigger animals, like bears and wolves that want an easy meal. That's why they have to have shepherds watch out for them. Lambs are prone to wander, especially in groups.

Little Lamb and Dolly stopped to talk to the cows, horses, and lambs, the colored lambs that you see on Little Lamb's blog. I was out taking a walk too, and I saw all the animals talking and I understood what they were saying. They started talking about the weather. Little Lamb is a friendly lamb and she'll talk to whoever looks friendly. I hope that doesn't backfire on her one day. I do worry about that with her. When I saw the animals talking and was listening to them Little Lamb saw me and picked me up and said she found her pet turtle Seymour. I thought she was friendly right from the very start and was glad she wasn't trying to eat me. It was love from the very beginning.

Little Lamb and Dolly went on their way bringing me along. Little Lamb asked me to be their shepherd and I agreed. I can be quite the vicious one if someone attempts to make my lambs miserable. If you're nice to my lambs they'll be nice to you.

And if you notice in the picture I posted of Dolly, Little Lamb and myself, I'm bigger than both lambs. I can protect them. I was little when Little Lamb found me.

My Vacation...

I'm really looking forward to this vacation. My plans are to be online when I'm home, and go to school. I can hear you all now. You're thinking, "Why does she want to do that? That's so BORING!!!!" Ok, I enjoy going to school, and would like to go more often, but my schedule doesn't allow me to. I've been at this for about 8 years. Not 8 years straight, and feel the need to finish up. I stopped for about 2 years and went back. I'm getting near the end.

I want the sit down time because I'm always on my feet and it gets to me. I HATE to stand all day. I'd rather sit all day. Tomorrow, Saturday, is my last day before vacation.

I'm taking two weeks. I always take two weeks because it feels like I've been on vacation after that time.

At work, Screecher, the store manager, is on maternity leave. I've had to help put out the clothes I helped to procezs and hang. I could not have picked a better time for vacation. After I leave work, it stays there, I don't take it home with me.

I've got to think about my blogging anniversary post which is Tuesday. What are you going to get me?

OJ Simpson is in the news again. First it was because of him being a famous football figure. I don't remember hearing anything bad about him then.

Then all of sudden, Nicole Simpson and Ron Goldman turn up murdered. That happened in the '90's. One head strong cop made sure OJ wasn't going to get a break. This particular cop didn't like Blacks. He used the "N" word. OJ claimed he was innocent. I remember hearing about a letter he wrote right before he decided to run. He claimed his innocence. Lots of speculation on that. Why did he run if he were innocent? Where was he when the murders were being committed? I never understood that if he were innocent why wasn't it made public where he was? Or maybe I just didn't understand the time frame. Either way it never made any sense to me why that was never revealed to my understanding.

While the trial was going on, his and Nicole's friends came to Nicole's rescue and said bad things about OJ. Things that probably could've changed the verdict if they could be proven.

Then you the grieving Goldman's. Fred Goldman was very outspoken in this case. You could understand his side. After all, he lost his son who was murdered along with Nicole. Actually it was 3 families that should have rallied together. We mustn't forget the Simpson children. They are now without their mother. So you have Nicole's family, Ron's family, and the Simpson children.

Then recently OJ wrote a book about the murders. Fred Goldman found out about it. He made sure the victims of the murders got the money from the book. You've got to look up to Fred. He wants what's rightfully his. One thing he hasn't gotten yet is justice. I'm sure that's how he feels, but maybe not.

OJ is in the news yet again. This time robbery is the cause and he's in jail now. j He claims he was taking what was his and was stolen from him. He said guns were not involved. The police say otherwise. If OJ is convicted he will spend a lot of time in prison. This man is a celebrity. I'm sure the other prisoners know about the murders he allegedly committed. I don't know if he committed them or not. He probably did and got off. How will the other prisoners treat him?

I know the bad guys don't like murders or child molesters They have to be kept away from the prison population. OJ is not in prison for murder this time. But I'm sure some of the prisoners will know about the case. If convicted, will he survive prison? He is 60 years old.

New Post and More Recent Update...

A few of you, who will remain unnamed, (Stan, Krissie, and Dycko) have complained to me about my layout here. Someone else, who will remain unnamed, (/t.) suggested it may be time to get a new blog. Someone else, who will also remain unnamed (Mayden) suggested I get a new blog and switch back to the old one.

I decided it was time for a new blog. I still have to set it up with decorations. That'll come. I have to decide what I want.

So what do you all think so far?

My favorite thing...

UPDATE:

Some of my many fans, er, loyal readers, are complaining about my blog having funny look and not looking right. So to make these loyal readers happy I removed the computer. I hope the rest of you loyal readers don't mind. But I won't make every one happy. I do try though.

I love computers. I love being online. It's how I relax. In fact, I'm taking classes so I can get a job in a office with a computer. I'm taking Office Technology and am learning all about Microsoft Office. I know Office '97, 2000, and 2003, and will be learning Office 2007 soon. I asked for Office 2007 for my birthday which is September 27th. My blogging anniversary is September 25th. I would like you to give me presents on both days.

I know how Microsoft Office is, but if you ask me to help you set up the computer, I don't know how to do that. I would have to read the directions. I can put programs on or in the computer with no problem. I can download stuff. I can shop online. Heck, I even have online friends. There's this one guy who always is talking to me online. He tells me all about his female friends. To my knowledge, he's never been here to this blog. Go figure.

I also have an English email pal, who, to my knowledge hasn't been here either. I would like to have an online friend to hang out with who goes where I go online. I have yet to find someone like that. I would like this person to go to the forums I go to. I don't go to the forums that much anymore, I don't know why. Mainly, now, I play games and blog.

I've been wanting to learn about sheep since my avatar is a sheep and my screen name is Little Lamb. Sheep are very trusting animals. They do make good pets. They're gentle animals. I don't know if you could train one to be a watch lamb.

What to post???

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Hello All!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
I never know what to post.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
I often do this in my mind.

So, I figured I'd just write and see what comes out. We could talk about why I blog. That a good question. I don't know. Why do I even have a blog? I guess it gives me something to do when I'm home. I love computers and blogging is computer related. I have games on my computer and can be found playing them often.

I have an online friend that I talk to regularly. I don't go to chat rooms. Even before I got into computers I was warned about them and what could happen. And all the nasty things that can happen to you if you talk to strangers online. Do I talk to strangers online? I think you know the answer to that. That's how I met all of you.

It all started when I was going to Police Hub, a cop forum. I met Mighty Dyckerson there. Yes, he posted at a cop forum. Can you believe it? The administrator at the time was friends with him. (Online, of course. I don't think they ever actually met. She's a cop). Dyckerson got into blogging and got the administrator to get a blog too. He talked to me about getting a blog too. So I got one and started to post Bible scripture on it. I wasn't getting a lot of hits. Dyckerson was my first customer but I deleted his comments. I was getting into this blogging thing and then stopped for a while, only checking my blog every so often. Then I got into it again and met you and I am continuing to meet more of you.

I guess the reason I stick with it is because I want to keep in touch wiht all of you, so I've got to come up with stuff to post.

If any of you want to email me, feel free.

I want a picture of all of you.

And so starts the famous poem of Mary and her little lamb, a children's poem that has touch us all at one point or another in our lives.

Well if your a Sawyer the poem is deeper and more in depth because the poem is about one of our decedents Mary Elizabeth Sawyer ( married name - Mary E. Tyler ) born March 22, 1806 and died on Dec 11, 1889, she is buried in the Mount Auburn Cemetery in Boston. A 4th generation American Sawyer. Her farther was Thomas, the son of Ezra Sawyer, and her mother was Elizabeth Houghton.

The story goes that one day in March of 1815 in Sterling, Mass. The lamb was born and it was forsaken by its mother, and was almost dead. (Mary was about 9) Mary asked her farther if she could take it into the house, at first he said no but Mary convinced him to allow her to take the lamb in. She nursed the lamb thru the night and by morning the lamb could stand and its health had improved rapidly. The lamb became a pet and would follow her every were. She would wash and care for the lamb as a mother would care for a child. The lamb was a ewe and lived approximately 4 years, she became the mother of 3 lambs, a single lamb and 2 twins.

One day on her way to school the lamb followed Mary, she did not know this at first, when she did notice her brother Nat suggested that they take the lamb to school. Being a child she thought it was a good idea. When they reached the school yard the teacher had not arrived yet so Mary took the lamb to her seat and put it under her seat and covered it up with a blanket, the lamb laid down and was very quite. Later on when Mary was called to the front of class to recite something the lamb followed her. The teacher (Miss Polly Kimball) laughed and so did all the children, she then took the lamb out side until lunch time when she took the lamb home.

That day a young man was visiting the school by the name of John Roulstone (John was born in 1805 and died on Feb. 20, 1822 in Boston at the age of 17), a nephew of the Reverend Lemuel Capen a minister in Sterling from 1815 - 1819. The man was so inspired by the incident that the next day he rode up on horse back to the school house and handed Mary a piece of paper with the poems for 12 lines written on it.

As written By John Roulstone,

Author of the first twelve lines and as it was given to Mary E. Sawyer

Mary had a little lamb,
Its fleece was as white as snow,
And every were that Mary went,
The lamb was sure to go.

It followed her to school one day;
That was against the rule;
It made the children laugh and play;
To see the lamb at school.

And so the teacher turned it out;
but still it lingered near;
And waited patiently about;
Till Mary did appear.

By Sara Josepha Hale, Author of the last twelve lines.

And then he ran to her, and laid
His head upon her arm,
As if he said "I'm not afraid,
You'll keep me from all harm."

'What makes the lamb love Mary so?"
The eager children cry;
"O, Mary loves the lamb, you know,"
The teacher did reply.

"And you each gentle animal
To you, for life may bind,
And make it follow at your call,
If you are always kind."

"Mary had a little lamb" was published in 1830 in her name in a book called "Poems for Our Children". The poem was then republished to music in The Juvenile Lure of 1831 with no author given.

Little Lamb's note: I figured this blog is about lambs so I figured I post about Mary Had a Little Lamb.

Little Lamb,
Supplier of wool, that's genuine wool.
Look at the baby lamb, how cute.

My apologies...

I'm sorry if I mislead yo into thinking Boneman has left blogging. He hasn't. In fact his blog is right here
The name of his blog is Grabbing the Bull by the Horns. So you see, there's no need for him to say good bye.

Boneman, you sure are getting a lot of publicity with my last post and this one and Jean's post about your blog. That's what blogging buddies are for, to advertise each other's blogs.

You really should check out the links on my side bar. I have some very interesting blogging buddies.

Separation Anxiety...

The Phosgene Kid gave me the idea for this post.

I think I get too attached to you guys. One day I was going through my blog roll and I couldn't get to one of your blogs. I like to see what each of you have posted, if anything, so I check up on you. I also look to see if there are any new comments.

As I said, one day I was going through my blog roll and came across someone who deleted their blog. Then I wen to see if I could see their profile. I saw their profile, but no blog listed. This person deleted his blog. (Boneman, who had Walking on Alligators) I was having withdrawal symptoms. I was pouty. I was thinking to myself, how will I ever get to see him again? I said to myself, Self, you'll just have to get over it. Bloggers do leave the blogging world. It happens. If Boneman wanted to have contact with me he'd get in contact with me. He knows where I blog.

As I was getting over Boneman, he left a message on my blog. See? He did get in contact. I was so excited. He thinks I didn't know he was gone. But little does he know...

So, I am attached to you all. All of you give me regular attention when you can. None of you ignores me. I'm glad. I like the attention all of you give me.

Maybe we all should exchange email address. My email is in my profile, so if you're interested, just drop me a line.

Stuff and Things...

I don't know what to write about or post. So I thought I just write. Or should I say type? I do have stuff and things to say, hence the name of the post.

So here goes:

I think they're starting school too early. They're starting school in August. They have started school in August in Florida for as long as I can remember, as far as I know. I could be wrong about this. Actually, to be honest, I d0n't know when they started to start school in August. What bugs me about our school system is they pick up the kids too early and get them home too late. Our kids seem to go to school where its the furthest away. If you live by a school you don't go to that school. They take you to the next town. Go figure. When I go to work the kids are going to school. When I come home from work they're coming home from school.

My hours have been cut at work so maybe I'll beat the kids home when school starts. I just get out an hour early. I don't mind, it gives me more sit down time.

On the way home from church I noticed a driver behind me. I wanted to get over to the next lane, and when I did, that same driver got behind me again. I thought that was strange because everybody is always trying to pass me and cut me off. They really want to get me. This driver didn't. This driver showed some manners. We made the same right turn and then they truned again and I thought that driver was being considerate, something that I don't usually see. I really appreciated them not cutting me off.

I guess that's it for this time. Ok, now I talked to you, now you talk to me. Simple and easy. Now what do you have to say to me?

Driving can be deadly...

Top 10 Deadliest Days of the Year to Drive
Based on 25 years of reserach statistics
  1. July 4
  2. July 3
  3. Dec. 23
  4. Dec. 24
  5. Dec. 22
  6. Aug. 3
  7. Jan. 1
  8. Sept. 1
  9. Sept. 2
  10. Aug. 4
It seems to me any holiday can be dangerous to drive. Why August 3 & 4, I don't know.

Deadliest Days of the Week to Drive
  1. Saturday
  2. Sunday
  3. Friday
  4. Thursday
  5. Monday
  6. Wednesday
  7. Tuesday
Everyday it is unsafe to drive.

Deadliest Times of the Day to Drive
  1. 3PM- 6PM
  2. 6PM- 9PM
  3. 9PM- Midnight
  4. Noon - 3PM
  5. Midnight - 3AM
So I take it, its unsafe to drive from 3 p.m. to 3 a.m.

You just better be careful if you cut someone off by accident and they don't take it that way. That happened to me on the way home from work. I got into the middle lane and then I got into the turning lane and noticed I cut someone off. This person made it known he was very pissed off. He was trying to pass me and couldn't. We both were making a right turn. I figured good. I'll let him go before me after we make the turn and that will be that. Not so. He did get in front of me, and slowed down on purpose! We separated after that. But boy did he make a fool out of himself. If I ever get that upset with someone I'll just yell at them in the privacy of my car. It's a lot safer that way. Or even think to myself, "That idiot."

BE CAREFUL OUT THERE!!!!

Interviewed by Scary Monster...

Scary Monster at http://scaredmonster.blogspot.com/ has interviewed me.

Are you truly a lamb or actually a wolf traveling the Web incognito?

Neither. I don't consider myself a wolf at all. Scary, do you consider yourself a real honest to goodness monster, scary or otherwise? Oooooooops! You're the one asking the questions.

Please tell us about a favorite memory?

Growing up, I lived in New York on Long Island. My grandparents lived in Chicago. I would get to spend a couple of weeks with them in the summer. When I went their I got to see my friends. We hung out together and played croquet. It would have been neat to spend the whole summer there, but mom said no, she'd miss me too much. Just as well, I'd probably get into loads of trouble hanging out with those boys. I hung out with the girls, too, but those boys were much more interesting. I think about four of those friends and wonder what they're up to and how their life is going and would love to see them again.

Have you ever lived in a foreign country or wanted to?

Yes, does summer only count? My parents had a place in Newfoundland Canada. They would spend the summers up there until mom passed away. Sometimes I would get to join them. We actually lived there in the summer.

What was the bestest birthday present you have ever received?

My bestest birthday present? I would have to say a puppy that I got when I was 7 or 8 years old. I loved that dog. She was so lovable to all she came across, except if you knocked on the door or delivered something. She would bark and growl then. She was a good watch dog.

What is the one thing about you that outshines all other qualities?

I don't know how to answer that. I guess I can be kind and compassionate if someone has a problem and wants someone to be sad with them, or even someone to be happy with. I don't know. What do my readers say?

So who wants to be interviewed

Here are the rules.

Interview rules

1. Leave me a comment saying I'd like you to interview me.
2. I will respond by commenting back on your blog with your five questions. I get to pick the questions.
3. You will update your blog with a post containing your the answers to the questions.
4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.

Little Lamb ponders...

I was visiting blogs. I came upon Scary Monster's blog. He was talking about when he was growing up how he used to kick cans and make mud pies. I started to think today's kids know nothing about how it is to grow up in a safe world. Or at least a non technical world, without computers or Nintendo's or any of that stuff.

I would be able to walk to the grocery store, which was 5 minutes away all by myself. If I wanted a friend to tag along, that was ok too. My sister and I would go to the movies with our friends a lot and spend the afternoon watching the same movie over and over and over again. We did that with the two Beatles movies, A Hard Day's Night and Help. Sometimes boys would come with us and I was sitting next to one during a Beatles movie and he told me if I screamed he would not sit next to me. I uttered a small scream and he didn't move. He probably didn't hear me because I screamed quietly. Another reason for him not hearing me is because everybody else was screaming! Our parents took turns driving us to the movies.

When I was growing up I would visit my grand parents and hang out with my friends there. They lived in Chicago. South Side. Gram's only request was when we went anywhere which crossing a street was required that I let her know where we were going.

You could actually run away in those days. Boss lady ran away a few times and came home ALIVE! Imagine that!

Today, you've got to be careful who your kids hang out with. You never know if someone will pick them up and kidnap them. When I was growing up, people hitchhiked. I don't know that they all got to where they wanted to go, but some of them did.

It's a different world today. Both parents have to work to survive in most homes. It's a rare thing where parents stay together anymore. Kids are tossed to and fro visiting both parents. Things are more expensive nowadays.

Yes, I'm a baby boomer. I was alive when the Beatles were together, all four of them. I believe Paul McCartney was the only Beatle who stayed married to his first wife.
