Driving can be deadly...

Top 10 Deadliest Days of the Year to Drive
Based on 25 years of reserach statistics
  1. July 4
  2. July 3
  3. Dec. 23
  4. Dec. 24
  5. Dec. 22
  6. Aug. 3
  7. Jan. 1
  8. Sept. 1
  9. Sept. 2
  10. Aug. 4
It seems to me any holiday can be dangerous to drive. Why August 3 & 4, I don't know.

Deadliest Days of the Week to Drive
  1. Saturday
  2. Sunday
  3. Friday
  4. Thursday
  5. Monday
  6. Wednesday
  7. Tuesday
Everyday it is unsafe to drive.

Deadliest Times of the Day to Drive
  1. 3PM- 6PM
  2. 6PM- 9PM
  3. 9PM- Midnight
  4. Noon - 3PM
  5. Midnight - 3AM
So I take it, its unsafe to drive from 3 p.m. to 3 a.m.

You just better be careful if you cut someone off by accident and they don't take it that way. That happened to me on the way home from work. I got into the middle lane and then I got into the turning lane and noticed I cut someone off. This person made it known he was very pissed off. He was trying to pass me and couldn't. We both were making a right turn. I figured good. I'll let him go before me after we make the turn and that will be that. Not so. He did get in front of me, and slowed down on purpose! We separated after that. But boy did he make a fool out of himself. If I ever get that upset with someone I'll just yell at them in the privacy of my car. It's a lot safer that way. Or even think to myself, "That idiot."

BE CAREFUL OUT THERE!!!!

I was just about to post on this very topic. You cut me off! Thanks A LOT, Lamby!!! I signalled and everything, too. Maybe I should stop signalling. It only brings out your aggressiveness.

But hey, if it makes you the "Big Lamb On Campus", then have at it. Apparently it's your world, and the rest of us are simply living in it. But perhaps not for much longer, as I plan to hit the road on Saturday, July 4th at 4:30PM to see if I can put my "Lamb Troubles" a few more miles behind me.

*grumble, grumble, grumble*

You got that right, Pug. it's my world and the rest of you are just living in it.

And since it is my world, you cannot go anyplace. You live in my computer and you can't leave.

(Gotta remember to turn off the computer so friends can't leave.)

Any day with a soccer mom, an escalade and a cell hone is a bad day to drive ;)

Little Lamb said...

Especially then, Hammer. Very dangerous.

I like to have a few drinks before I get behind the wheel. It loosens me up.

Pink said...

Lambie - I think any time a little lamb is behind the wheel, I am staying off the road. How can you shift with those hooves of yours?

PS - I like your evil thinking - shut off the computer so friends can't leave. But then we can't breathe either.

Could you just use a screensaver so we can still see what's going on out there?
xx

Little Lamb said...

No I cannot use a screen saver when I leave. And all of you can breathe when I turn the computer off. I haven't lost any of you yet.

In order for you to know what's going on out there, you need to read the news. This way you can keep up with current events.

LL,

any info yet
about which days
are the deadliest for running with scissors? how about tongs?

/t.

Little Lamb said...

I have just the place where you can run to your hearts content with anything sharp and dangerous. No one, except maybe you will get hurt. So be real careful, ok? Do you want to know where it is?

/t. said...

ok,
i'll bite

where is it, LL,
that i can run to my hearts content with anything sharp and dangerous... the lamb pasture?

/t.

Pink said...

pugsy, /t, lambie is too smart for us...and she's got us locked up (penance for fencing her in) and is going to let /t run rampant!

What is the world coming to!

And she wants us to READ!!

(stop the cruelty, Lambie!)
xx

Little Lamb said...

/t. is not going to run rampant. He has a special place called Poems by Nari over at a place called my space. That is his private area where he can run to his hearts content where nobody gets hurt.

/t. you are NOT allowed in the lamb pasture. I have lambs in there that are very trusting. I want them to stay that way. They are allowed to get loose and go where they please. They have promised to stay away from your area.

/t. said...

get loose, LL?

the clown says that
a few drinks will work

maybe some of the lambs would like to visit myspace for a bbq and a beer or two... just a thought

/t.

Little Lamb said...

The lambs will have a few drinks, but not from you. You are not allowed near the lambs and they are not allowed near you. They understand why. They don't trust you. They know you set Dolly on fire. They don't want you to do that to them. They want to stay cute and cuddly and fluffy.

Jack K. said...

Like my dear wife tells me, leave plenty of space. It's all part of defensive driving.

Drive safely out there.

Little Lamb said...

It's best to drive that way. It's hard if someone is going slow and you can't pass them. It's best to keep your distance.

The Phosgene Kid said...

Take the bus and hope that smelly mental guy that just got on doesn't sit next to you...

Little Lamb said...

Sometimes that can be safer. Well, ok, all the time.

Scary Monster said...

Me drives a giant wedge of Brie cheese around. It gets a bit of atention, but nobody ever gets mad at me.

...having just been in an "accident" (June 26 at 5:30pm) I can state that the reason fer it was the 17 year old at the wheel of his grandmother's car....

I'de rather stay home anyway....
should'a that day, as my back STILL hurts.

Little Lamb said...

scary monster - Do you know why no one gets mad at you? Because you can be lovable and weird all at the same time. I'd love to eat your car. It sounds scrumptious.

/t. the monster is strange.

boneman, I have back pain myself and not from any accident, its arthritus.

Lexcen said...

It's known as road rage and it's illegal here. You can go to jail for road rage behavior.

Little Lamb said...

They were supposed to crack down on it here, and its not a good thing if one is caught doing road rage.

boneman said...

sorry yer back hurts from arthritis, lil lamb, but I am curious about one thing...
you said we don't believe the same thing....
really? Are you sure about that?

Pink said...

well ok lambie...i'll stay in the computer...since there is nothing sharp and dangerous for /t to run with...but there is that sharp and dangerous cheese car that we need to consider...

it could get smelly in here...

Little Lamb said...

Boneman, I don't know what you actually do believe in, to be honest. From what I've heard from you, we may not believe the same. Did you say Paul was a stumbling block? Were you referring to the Apostle Paul of the Bible?

Pinks, that's not my problem. I don't know where the cheesy car came from. Maybe I should get rid of it so it doesn't smell where all of you live. At least if it doesn't smell where you are, I'll have happy computer friends.

Good news! Tomorrow is supposed to be the deadliest day of the year to be on the road - enjoy!!

Hear they put down Dolly X-7 the seven legged lamb. My condolences...

Little Lamb said...

Kid, tomorrow we've got to be very very careful and watch out for all those nuts and maniacs out there!

That's very sad about Dolly X-7.

boneman said...

yup!
'cause he calls for us to worship Jesus, a thing Jesus said don't do.

fer saying women should never preach....
fer saying speaking in tongues is talking to GOD....
fer being a chameleon that he might speak to many people about how they sin, but not seeing the sin he committed by his blindness.

In his defense, he might not have written any of that had he known that a desperate church starting up would use ALL his letters in the fashion they were used.

Do you help others?
Do you love the CREATOR with all your heart soul and mind?

(I know the answer...)
and so, we believe in the same thing.

Odd, eh? Don't throw your rules into the game plan and you'll see that a lot of people actually believe in the same thing...
Throw in your own set of rules to define what the CREATOR has already created and you'll see the differences in a lot of people.

Far too many words on a comment page of a post about deadly driving days....
my apologies.

boneman said...

hey!
They got steak'n'shakes in Florida?!?
Dang! I thought that was an Indiana thing.

Little Lamb said...

boneman Jesus wants worship. We are to worship Him. Jesus and God are one. We don't believe the same.

As far as helping others,I will if I'm able. Yes I love the Lord with all my being.

We both see things differently and that's ok. We're all different.

Yes, steak and shakes in Florida. I love that place.

boneman said...

y'shouldn't think it if'n it ain't true...
why, it might not even be written 'bout you.

Little Lamb said...

What are you talking about?

Dan said...

I just put my car up on eBay.

Little Lamb said...

How will you ever get around now?

/t. said...

Little Lamb said...

That's one way.

she said...

lamby you inspired me to write about one of my favorite road rage incidents. for now i am just glad i made it past aug. 4. *whew*

Little Lamb said...

I'd like to hear all about it.

boneman said...

....looked hard and long, gal.
Nowhere does Jesus say worship him.

In fact, wouldn't worship the FATHER with all your heart mind and soull pretty much mean ALL your heart, ALL your mind, and ALL your soul?
That's why I don't think much of Saul/Paul. He changes what was said in the first four books when he's taken out of context.
And, gosh, the changes that the early church made are horrendously confusing....

Little Lamb said...

boneman, I believe in the trinity. When we worship God isn't that the same as worshiping Jesus?

The Phosgene Kid said...

Jesus lives next-door to me. Jesus Rivera is his whole name. He's nice but I wouldn't expect too much out of him if I were you...

Little Lamb said...

Is he here legally or illegally?

Nea said...

there isn't a day that goes by that I don't let someone have the right of way, when they really didn't have it, just to avoid someone having a tantrum and road rage. Georgia has some of the worst drivers I have ever seen, they wouldn't last five minutes in Los Angeles. I probably prevent an accident a day by being on my toes......people pass on the right, turn left from the wrong lane, they never signal, they often haven't any brake lights, they use trailers that are no way road legal......it has to be the most dangerous place in the world to drive because they give kids a license without proper driving tests. Scarey.......but road rage is scarier.....makes you wonder how they handle other things in their life, huh?

Little Lamb said...

Yes, it does, nea.

boneman said...

....well, gee. Since you asked....
the trinity was created by the catholic church, I think. Again, with all that the early churches put into the books, isn't it hard enough without using something that was made up by folks who were trying to get a power base from folks who liked the teachings of Jesus?
Not in the OT or the NT is the phrasing of trinity used. But, as for the other, worshipping GOD, as in worshipping the CREATOR?
Gee, wouldn't that also be worshipping folks like you and me, too? We being the brothers and sisters of Jesus, as it were.

Three in one. Maybe that's a good description of oil, but, gal, it isn't what's important, I don't think.

I get grief fer saying this, but, that's ok with me....
Spend less time worshipping what you don't understand and spend more time helping those around you that desperately need help.
Florida has more people starving to death than Indiana. And, we got plenty! Every Friday night dozens of stupid drunks get into their cars and either commit suicide or kill innocent bystanders....volunteer for driving them home. Start a clothing drive to dress needy children. Start a food drive to feed starving folks there and elsewhere.
Do for others and THAT will be the worship the SPIRIT desires.
Not the heaping up of empty phrases said in chuches everywhere.

The Phosgene Kid said...

Speaking of cars, you're getting more milage out of this post than I do with my compact car.

Little Lamb said...

Boneman, I will do as the Good Lord leads.

Kid, this is true. Do you think it's time for a new post?
