Who will run for president in '08?

Someone has a website up for Oprah to run in '08. I found this article on Yahoo.

Teacher persists on Oprah '08 Web site

By The Associated PressSat Sep 23, 9:27 PM ET

Patrick Crowe says he is having a blast promoting talk-show icon Oprah Winfrey for president. Winfrey's lawyers are not.

Crowe has been unofficially campaigning for the first lady of daytime TV for years. The Kansas City man's Web site, http://www.oprah08.net, comes complete with a campaign song and volunteer sign-up. He also sells "Oprah for President" T-shirts.

The retired math teacher's unflappable support has recently drawn the ire of Winfrey's lawyers, who sent Crowe a letter on Aug. 22 demanding that he remove her picture from the Web site and a book he is selling. The letter said Crowe's zeal has crossed into copyright and trademark infringements.

But Crowe is persistent. The Web site remained up Saturday, and he has been fielding requests for radio interviews.

"It has become increasingly serious to me," Crowe, who opposes the Bush administration and its foreign policy, told The Kansas City Star for a story Friday. "I know Oprah can do better than that."

Crowe believes Winfrey could bridge partisan lines with her charm. He also noted Winfrey's business acumen, widespread name recognition and reputation as a woman of compassion and determination.

A spokeswoman for Harpo said that Winfrey has said she has no political aspirations.

My comments: This made me think of when a bunch of us were campaigning for Mighty Dyckerson to run for president. Just ask Dyck and Rev about it. They'll tell you. I wonder where those campaign stickers are?

Proof again that people - in general - are morons. California reminded us last time with Arnold being voted in as Gov.

Why don't we just have a special (once every 4-years) version of American Idol to decide the Presidency?

Oprah is a no-talent, just like Rosie O'Donnell. America is getting dumber by the day.

I like Arnold. Ronald Reagan was a movie star and switched to politics.

I don't think Oprah has the qualifications to run.

why not
run yourself,
little lamb?

you're a blog celebrity who could switch to politics

/t.

Little Lamb said...

My blog isn't that popular. Who would vote for me?

Anonymous said...

i would,
except i live
up in canada,
so they won't
let me vote for american presidents

i see that pug has been here recently -- i think she is american -- why not ask her to vote for you -- she seems nice enough

/t.

Little Lamb said...

btw,
i watched
terminator
and
terminator 2 (again) on the space channel last night -- i like arnold and i think he would make kinder, gentler replacement for your current president... shrub?

/t.

Anonymous said...

"kinder,
gentler"

ronald regan
said that...

& neil young said "kinder, gentler, machine gun hand"

/t.

I'd like Arnold to run, but that's not a good idea. Then that would open other foreigners to run for president, and that would not be good.

a good sleep
and
several cups
of strong coffee

Little Lamb said...

coffee wakes me up, not puts me to sleep.

and
arnold
said,
"i'll be back"

and he was, too

and i looked at my coffee and i said, "i'll take black"

and i did, too

not doubt the universe is unfolding as it should, little lamb

Little Lamb said...

I like my coffee with cream.

Anonymous said...

/t.

Little Lamb said...

Then why did you take it black?

Anonymous said...

i didn't.

i just
made that up.

i just made up that stuff about about pug being transgendered, or, fixed, in his case, and that stuff about the clown being straight -- all made up

/t.

Little Lamb said...

I don't remember you saying anything about any clown.

Little Lamb said...

I enjoyed the terminator movies very much.

Anonymous said...

i made
up that
last bit
about making
up stuff about the clown

i like arnold and all of his movies, 'ceptin those gay comic movies he made in the 70's...

nah, i'm just makin' that up, too (about the gay comic movies)

/t.

Little Lamb said...

You're just making up everything aren't you?

Anonymous said...

maybe

Little Lamb said...

Ok, I'm going to take a nap now. I'll talk to you again when I get back online.

Anonymous said...

Little Lamb said...

I have returned.

you probably
need lots of
rest to keep up that skipping

i made my 100th new post at mo'po, little lamb, and your name is mentioned in it -- your celebrity just keeps going and going, kind of like you, going and going and going

/t.

Little Lamb said...

Yes, I do need lots of rest to keep on going, just like the energizer bunny. :)

Your 100th new post. I'm impressed. Atta way, /t.! Keep up the good work. I'll go and check it out.

My guess is that it will be Hillary and John MaCain running against each other and McCain will win. Even I might vote for him. On one hand, Hillary is very qualified. On the other, she bugs me because she is such a transparent politician with no backbone, cowtowing to the right. Anyway, I just might write in my own candidate--Muffin my cat. He would certainly be better that Dubya, and like him, my cat is unable to locate Iraq on the map.

Do you think we're ready for a woman president?

My personal feelings are the democrats have had enough of the republicans so the democratic person may win.

I've noticed each party only runs for 8 years and then it switches.

Bird said...

hell yes - i'm ready for a woman president.

but not hilary.
i can't stand her.
used to.
but
not
anymore.

she is as EOR so transparent and a panderer.

i iiked her once-upon-a-time before she became wicked.

I think we will eventually have a woman president. I aslo think I will be alive to see it.
