Forums and Games...

How many of you go to forums? Message boards? Newsgroups? Whatever you want to call them. On the ones I go to they have word games. I was wondering if we could do that on our blogs? The one I have in mind is Ramdom Thoughts where one person picks a word and the next person puts down the word that pops into their minds.

Can we do that here?

Where did wankle come from and what does it mean?

I'm too dumb for those games.

Little Lamb said...

You are not!

Ok,/t. now I see.

Little Lamb said...

Thank you, Dyck, these people are not used to playing games on blogs.

i heard
the clown
was thinking
of moving
to india

what do you think about that, little lamb?

yo dudes--
check out the new blog i posted.

i think i just entered a war w/ BillofBrothers...

Little Lamb said...

He may not like being with Indians. We'll see how it goes and if actually does. Is his job taking him there?

The move will do him good.

Crash, I commented on your blog.

lamb, you are the FIRST blogger to tell me they watched patches the horse. yes! i am going on a road trip to meet that horse later this fall. i know where he lives, and ive got burgers!

/grrrrr

the game
seems to be
winding down,
little lamb

what now?

/t.

Little Lamb said...

I've got to think of another thing to post.

The only reason it's winding down is because after I said "rank" no one else came up with something. Maybe I should have a game site on a blog but I don't think that'll go over to big.

the Cbox
would be a
good place
to do word
association
.
.
.
but people would screw it up sooner or later -- i see your forum has 22 people, but you banned dyck...

/t.

Little Lamb said...

I lost a member because of him. I almost lost another member because of him too. He was insulting the other members. He's used to being banned. He gets banned all the time at medialine.

You see, Dyck and I met at a forum and if you read his profile, its kind of raunchy. I saw the humor in it, but not everybody does. A lot of people find him offensive.

You gave my an idea with the chat box, they can be used for games too.

i didn't
mean to imply
that the world's
most obnoxious clown
could be taken to be
offensive in his manner & nature -- certainly not -- at heart, i think he's really a very sensitive gay

yeah, go for the cbox thing, whatever it is -- figuring out what all of this stuff is and can do, and how it can be subverted to do things that were never intended, is what i'm here for :)

happy to help

oops,

sensitive guy,
of course...
or maybe...

I don't think it'll work with our group of bloggers. Ny site isn't popular like theirs is.

I can't picture the clown being sensitive at all.

I'll think about it.

I was thinking about rearranging my side bar.

Anonymous said...

wanna
rearrange
your sidebar
...
really?
...
i think it works nicely now, but if you do, then i'm sure it will be cool, too

Little Lamb said...

Thanks, but I want my links up on top more. I want my posts to be down at the bottom more where the links are. I want to alphabetize my links. I wanted to say which were blogs and which are the sites I go to but I figured I could aphabetize the whole thing like you do.

What do you think?

Anonymous said...

well,
i guess
i like
the idea
because
i already did it, but sure -- sorted lists are easy, and what people expect, often, so i think it's a good idea to do it -- i separate blogs from web pages, but that's not strictly necessary

/t.

Little Lamb said...

If I do that, I want to show that's what I'm doing. I don't all these computer codes. And how to do stuff like that.

Anonymous said...

"i don't
??? all these"

Little Lamb said...

Sorry, I don't know all these computer codes to make it look separated.

in your
blog template
is a section
(near bottom)
that starts:

that is followed by links -- you must know this because you put the links there -- so, you need to sort the links by their name -- put the blog links on top, web page links below, and separate them with a blank line, or with on a line by itself

/t.

Little Lamb said...

Ok, let me try that.

save a copy of your original template in case something goes wrong with your edits

/t.

Little Lamb said...

I have the original and now I have the original original, if you know what I mean.

Anonymous said...

well,
you're still
here so i guess
everything is ok

did you make changes?
(sorry i was elsewhere)

/t.

Little Lamb said...

And just where were you?

I did move the links upwards, but that's all I'm going to do for now.

Anonymous said...

blog rounds

i see you moved
the links up but
didn't sort or
separate them

still, good job -- moving is a good start

/t.

Little Lamb said...

I don't know how to look like its two separate things. If I do separate them it will still look like they're in the same section.

Little Lamb said...

I don't know how to make it look like 2 separate blocks

Anonymous said...

ok

B L O G S

My very own forum

...

W E B S I T E S
...

/t.

Little Lamb said...

Ok, let me try that, and see what happens.

Anonymous said...

this makes
2 blocks
inside of
your LINKS block

it's a cheat, but it is easy and will look fine -- you just add the 3 lines:
B L O G S

W E B S I T E S

to your separated links

/t.

Anonymous said...

oops,

you need
to replace
that
with these lines

to get the effect you want -- sorry about that (i was editing blind until now)

/t.

Little Lamb said...

OK, I did it, but I'm not happy with it because it all looks like its in one box and not two.

Anonymous said...

do the edit
above and it
will look like
two sections
of links

/t.

Little Lamb said...

We'll give it a go.

Here's soemthing to read. After I banned Dyck he swore he wouldn't help me with my blog. He hasn't since I banned him, but he did tell me I'd have to play with my side bar to get it the way I wanted. I didn't blog for a while and then got back into it and you come along.

Anonymous said...

careful,
you're
cascading
sections in sections... & that's not the goal... you can do what you're trying to do here, but you need to move/duplicate the entire section including the start & end code -- it's not hard, but it might be a bit tricky -- take care

/t.

Little Lamb said...

I have the exact effect I want. What do you think?

Anonymous said...

can
i email
you another
option?

/t.

Little Lamb said...

Emails from you are always welcome.

Anonymous said...

ok,
i'm sending
your template
to you -- you
can try it to
see if it does what you want -- it fixes the cascading sections in the sidebar --

arriving momentarily...

/t.

Little Lamb said...

Ok, I'll check it out when it gets here.
