Newfoundland...

My parents used to have a place in Newfoundland Canada. It looks just like what you see in this video and brought back memories from when I went with them.

These people never got enough of the sun. If it looked like the sun was going to come out the people would get dressed in summer clothes in hopes of catching some sun.

Contrary to popular belief, they do not live in igloos, and they do not ride in horse and buggies.

They do get A LOT if snow.

I probably still need to be very careful and watch out for /t. who likes to set fire to lambs.

and they gave it up? why? it looks like it would be an ideal place for a sheep to visit.

....on another note. have you ever thought of purchasing a flame retardant?

Little Lamb said...

Mom was dying. Dad didn't want to go up there alone.

A flame retardant sounds like a good idea. I think Dolly has one. I'll ask her where she got hers.

If there is a Newfoundland that would mean there is an Oldlostland somewhere, right??

dolly probably owns stock in a flame retardant company..

Are there like Polar Bears and Walruses and things?

Little Lamb said...

Phos, Gee, I don't know, maybe.

Anonymous foam, She does? She's been holding out on me.

Pooch, I don't know about Polar Bears or Walruses, but I do know they have regular bears and seals there.

Sheep, hmmmm. Sheep are nice, but you don't want to find yourself walking alone in the dark on the side of the road when my neighbors have been drinking.STOMP!

Little Lamb said...

/t., so you have sort of and short days? What kind of nights do you have?

Dolly wants to know what your wolverine eats? She's always thinking of food. And she calls me FAT!

Boneman, I'm glad you came here too. No, I'm not Canadian.

Little Lamb said...

Where do you see "if"?

i thought sort up were typical canadian type of days where you hunkered down and gnawed on wolverine..
no telling about the nights..

we had a pet wolverine when we were kids, until a rabid yeti ate him in our back woods. But we had fun playing with the grizzlies and the mooses (meece?).

My suspicion about Newfies is that the Lot if snow equates to Love if sun.

I have alot of other suspicions about Newfies, but I won't share them here. And Albertans.
