An American Garden

Dolly7Little Lamb  Little Lamb & Dolly
discover something new in the neighborhood.

Dolly : That /t. is up to something.

Little Lamb : No Dolly, he's not. He asked me if I had a garden and I told him we didn't so he made one for us. How do you like it?

Dolly : It's very nice. But I can't help being suspicious about it. Can we eat anything from it?

Little Lamb : I'm sure there's something to eat in it. /t. wouldn't want us to go hungry.

Dolly and Little Lamb say thank you, /t. for the garden and thinking of us.

Dolly7

Again, I still prefer the Olive Garden.

Anonymous said...

pug,

we don't have
an olive garden

all we have is this american garden

and soon, my american friend, it will be time for harvest

HHHAHAHAHAH HAHHA HA AHAHAHAHHAHA HAH AHA HAHAHAH AHA AH H AH AHA AHAHA A HAHA HAHA HAHHA HAHAH AHAHAHAHAH AHAHAHAHH HAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHHAH A HAHA HAHAAHH AHAH AH HAHAHA HA HAH AHA HAHHAHA HHA HAHA HHAHAHAHAHA AHA HAHA AHA!

Bird said...

oh dear /t,what on earth will you harvest from this garden?

lambs ears?

Anonymous said...

i like
your thinking
here birdy one,
but no, this is not
a lamb garden, it's an american garden...

/t.

Little Lamb said...

It's going to be interesting to see what this garden brings.

Anonymous said...

hi
little lamb

did you notice
anything missing
from this garden???

do you see there is no scarelamb to keep the lambs out? the lambs are welcome here

/t.

Little Lamb said...

No scarelamb? A trap! I knew it! What did you plant in the garden?

Anonymous said...

no,
little lamb,
it's not a trap

i didn't put a scarelamb in here because i wanted you and dolly7 to feel welcome and safe in this garden of your favorite colors

but fear not, little lamb, for your paranoia need not be for naught... my next post can do something cruelly painful and horribly disfiguring to dolly, if you like

/t.

Little Lamb said...

No, please don't do anything to hurt Dolly. Let us enjoy the garden. You made it for us. We do like the garden very much. Dolly is wondering where the food is though. She also wants to take care of it.

Anonymous said...

well,
in darker times...

Dolly7 looking after garden
+
where the food is
=
two birds, one stone

but,
in these enlightened times...

Dolly7 can look after the garden -- she will have to find her own food -- should be some americans milling about in there...

/t.

Little Lamb said...

Oh no! Two birds and one stone! She like to play ball. She likes to run around and jump. She wants to look after the garden and take care of it. She want to water all the letters and things.

Anonymous said...

water?

she wants to
water all the letters?

little lamb, surely you don't mean...

/t.

Anonymous said...

maybe
she should
have a diaper...

/t.

Little Lamb said...

No, /t. not like that. With the water you drink she wants to water the letters amd dirt. She wants to make sure they grow nice and tall so she can eat them.

Anonymous said...

oh, ok.

i added pink lamb
to your lamb pasture

/t.

Little Lamb said...

Thank you. I was going to do that too, but I took a pink lamb and put it in photobucket and was going to let you put the lamb in the lamb pasture. Will you put a pink lamb at my other blog, too?

Bird said...

i am no longer seeing pink...

that two birds with one stone thing is an urban legend. so watch it there - don't get any ideas - you might end up with bleeding eyeballs. and that won't be pink and sweet at all (unless you're into that sort of thing, then it might be sweet. frankly though, eyeballs are not a treat).

by the way - this could be an american-lamb garden.

Anonymous said...

little lamb,

done

bird,

no offense intended to our beaked friends

slap sloosh floop

/t.

Bird said...

all right then. i'll unruffle my feathers.

for now.

think i'll go check out the pink lamb at lambsie's other blog.

Little Lamb said...

This post does not have pink. We must think of a story with the pink lamb.

The Phosgene Kid said...

The garden has an oriental print quality. I did notice a rare “Venus Lamb Trap” lurking in one of the corners, though.

Anonymous said...

phos,

you're right
about that rare venus
lamb trap in the corner -- fortunately, we have no rare lambs from venus here at little lamb's place

/t.

Little Lamb said...

Oh yes, we do /t. and you know it. I knew it was a trick garden.

Anonymous said...

well,
there is
'alien lamb',
who might be from venus

but even so, she is not that rare

/t.

Little Lamb said...

I thought alien lamb was a he.

Anonymous said...

ummm,
look again,
little lamb...

i think all of the lambs are she, are they not?

/t.

Little Lamb said...

I thought Frankenlamb was a male lamb. I want men in my flock.

Anonymous said...

did
you know,
little lamb,
that the story of
Frankenlamb was written by Mary Sheepy when she was only 18 years old?

that's pretty cool, eh?

/t.

Little Lamb said...

Why no, I didn't, /t. That is pretty cool.

Anonymous said...

yes,
little lamb,
just like her human
counterpart, Mary Shelley, who wrote the story of Frankenstein, or, The Modern Prometheus, at age 18 -- brilliance from such young minds!

/t.

Bird said...

and did young mary sheepy also see herself as a bit of monster, as her human counterpart did?

what happened to mary sheepy's mum? died in lamb-birth -

or did you do something to her /t.?

Anonymous said...

hey,
i resemble
that comment!

what is this? i make a couple of jokes about BBQing and eating my friends and all of a sudden i'm a terrible guy?

need i remind you, bird, i have here a recipe for four and twenty winged creatures baked in a pie...

you know full well i did nothing to little mary sheepy or her mum

** urp **

/t.

Little Lamb said...

Oh dear, maybe he did eat mary sheepy and her mom, but couldn't get a hold of her dad.

All my lambs represent "GIRL POWER!!!!"

Bird said...

i know nothing of the sort dear /t. i consider you somewhat akin to the fool in the tarot deck - meaning - from you, all things are possible.

perhaps mary sheepy can write a disserataion vindicating you /t and expounding on the rights of lambs everywhere.

we should have little lamb look into it.

btw /t., any creature that ends up in a pie deserves such a fate. you won't catch me in a pie. catch others as you please - i am not in the least concerned. besides, i believe the recipe you refer to calls for black birds and they are such a nusiance - go head and cook 'em up. and coots are good in pies too by the way - though better in stew - they get a little tough sometimes. hey - how about a little turkey pot pie?

and chicken pot pie - with those teeny-weeny diced potatoes and carrots. can you make a good rue for the pie too?

i am so hungry now!

flap/flap/swoosh!

Anonymous said...

how
do you like
that bird, little lamb --
flap/flap/swooshing in here with talk of pies and good things to eat, and then just flap/flap/swooshing away -- leaving everyone with growling bellies...

the nerve!

well, now i need to go and get someone to eat

/t.

Little Lamb said...

she wants you to prove you didn't eat Mary Sheepy and her mom.

Anonymous said...

it's a
trick question,
little lamb, as bird
knows that mary's mum died in lamb-birth, and, that the story of frankenlamb is in fact autobiographical -- mary sheepy did indeed see herself as a bit of monster...

yes, little lamb -- mary sheepy and frankenlamb are one and the same !!!

so you see now that it wasn't me at all

/t.

Little Lamb said...

/t. that means it was you. How much is that lamb mary sheepy? And how many other poor lambs did you use to create her?
