Question...
Why is it that Governor Spitzer had to resign for being caught having sex with a prostitute, had to resign and Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick of Detroit was sending sexual text messages to Chief of Staff Christine Beatty, has tio be put on trial?
Yes, they are authority figures, at least to me, but our presidents can get away with it. Why the double standard?
Can anyone explain this to me?

My Easter...
Right before the service started, a few visitors came in to join us for our service. A man and a woman sat close by me. The man looked familiar, but I didn't pay too much attention to it. During the service Pastor wanted us to shake hand and say hello to each other. I went around greeting people and said hello to the man who looked familiar. He recognized me right off the bat! He told me who he was. We hadn't seen each other in 22 years at least! I knew him when I was going to church up in New York. We exchanged phone numbers and email addresses and hopefully will be keeping in touch.
I'm trying to get in touch with a pastor we both knew from our New York days who lives in South Carolina. I emailed his wife and have not heard back. I should send her a letter snail mail and see if she writes back. I haven't done that yet.
Dad and I went to a friends house to spend Easter with them. MY uncle and his wife were there and so was my cousin and his family. It was very nice to see everyone again.

Little Lamb's little lamb...
Little Lamb had a little lamb. It's fleece was white as snow.
And everywhere that Little Lamb went the lamb was sure to go.
They spent their time together.
Little Lamb would give her little lamb piggy back rides. (or would that be lamb back rides?)
Little Lamb got tired doing things all day while her little lamb still wanted to play. So Little Lamb's little lamb decided to play king of the lamb.

Stupidity...
This happened in the very town I live in -
A spectacular case of poor criminal planning played out late Wednesday afternoon inside the western regional police station.
A couple of boys, ages 12 and 14, tried to rob two employees behind a protective window, demanding cash, before being handcuffed at gunpoint by about a half dozen officers.
"They were either very brazen or very dumb, but I think the latter," Officer Robert Vega, police spokesman, said Thursday.
The incident happened about 4:30 p.m. at the police station after the boys, one dressed in blue and the other red, walked through the glass doors. The 12-year-old sauntered to the records counter and then proceeded to another counter where he picked up a phone to talk to a service aide behind a protective window, demanding her money.
"Not only did he pick up the phone and say, 'Put your hands up and give me your money,' he had his hand in his jacket insinuating that he had a gun," Vega said.
The boys each face an attempted armed robbery charge.
Although only the 12-year-old demanded money, the other boy also is being charged in connection with the incident because he "knew what was going to happen," Vega said.
"He was a willing participant in the entire event," Vega said.
The 14-year-old also faces a violation of probation charge.
Both kids are being held at the Name of town I live in Regional Juvenile Detention Center.
My comment: Who in their right mind would do this? What did they hope to gain?

School...
Now I have my me day back. I can relax on Mondays. It seems like with work, school, and church I'm very busy.
Ok, yes I do have to look for my dream job now. I will be keeping my eyes open for that. Right now, we're in a recession and jobs are hard to come by. If I see something I'm interested in, I'll apply. If something should happen to my present job, I have something to fall back on now. I will keep looking in the want ads online. I will keep checking my employers current jobs. I've worked too hard and too long to give it up.
I'm looking forward to the awards ceremony!

Days off and the weekend...
I wanted to spend some time at home. I go out everyday to wrok, church and school and wanted to spend some time at home, so I did just that.
When I go to school on Monday, I have to find out how much more time I have until I can say I'm done with this course. I'm almost there. It'll be good to get done with school for a while.
I'm planning to take 2 weeks off in May and possibly look for an office job if I don't hear anything about an office job where I work. Right now the job market doesn't look good, so we'll see what happens.
HEY!!!! You! Yes you! Don't forget about daylight savings time!

Voting rights...
I really don't understand politics all that much. Once again Florida has made the news. Florida has not been stupid this time. In fact, it's not even Florida's fault they made the news this time. Florida had Republican and Democratic primaries. I thought we all got to vote on the same day to make it easier to count to see who people wanted to vote for in November. That would make the counting easier, or at least to my way of thinking. Perhaps others felt the same way, who knows?
Michigan also made the news. I don't know that they have ever made the news as far as voting goes. There's a first time for everything. Michigan and Florida made the news fro the same reason. The Democrat primaries were held too early. So that means their votes don't count. Now they're discussing what should be done about it.
If I were one of those voters (voting in the democratic primaries, I voted in the republican primary) I don't know how I'd feel or what to do if I voted and was told my vote doesn't count because I voted to early. The Democratic Party should fix that or something. It's their fault. Why did they even offer a primary too early?
I say take all those votes and count them anyway. Learn a lesson from this.
I really don't know about this Democratic Party at all. What is one to do?

Life is good...
Your Life is 19% Off Track |
No doubt about it, you are living the right life. You've made some great decisions, and they've definitely paid off. Keep it up. You're on the right track! |
I like my life. I'm happy with it. Well, ok, there are a few things I'd change, but I'm working on it.
For instance, my job. It's not a bad job, but I want a sit down job. Hopefully someday. My contact person at work saw my portfolio last week and wants a copy of it to show around.
