Sorry I should have known that one - Susan B Anthony was a suffragette for the rights of women, was it Betsy Ross who designed the first American flag?
If its not the Colorado river would it be the Mississippi?

Little Lamb said...

S'okay, yes to everything. (dealing with the answers, of course.

boneman said...

i must have gotten them all right because I don't see the answers anywhere...
oh wait....i get it. turn in the answers tro you and yoyu'll judge us?
How do we know you have the right answers?
What about the mensa answers?
OK, I'll get back to that...

1. president, though I liked Indigo's answer
2. Tom Jefferson, one of my heroes!
3. Mississippi River and the Misouri, and I think the third IS red dog creek.
4. 9 (almost like I couldn't make up my mind. 4 or 9? 24 or 6 to 4)
5. Nancy Pelosi. (Nancy Pelosi? Don't you mean Betty Jo Biolvski? But, everyone knew her as Nancy.)

9. Nurse/Suferagette
10. Wilson.

and now, as a prize for you doing all that test grading,
The Washington Post's Mensa Invitational once again asked readers to
take any word from the dictionary, alter it by adding, subtracting,
or changing one letter, and supply a new definition....
3. Bozone (n.): The substance surrounding stupid people, that stops
bright ideas from penetrating. The Bozone layer, unfortunately, shows
little sign of breaking down in the near future.

1 - Who is in charge of the executive branch?

I am.

2 - Who wrote the Declaration of Independence?

I think it was my Insurance Agent. There's a Declarations page I'm always too bored to read through.

3 - Name one of the two longest rivers in the United States

"The River of No Return" with Marilyn Monroe and "A River Runs Through It" with Brad Pitt. Those two stinkers seemed to go on forever.

4 - How many justices are on the Supreme Court?

None. It's a trick question. No one with a last name of "Justice" currently resides on the Supreme Court. But interestingly enough, there was one former "Supreme": Flo Ballard served on the court from 1969-1971.

5 - What is the name of the Speaker of the House of Representatives now?

James Polk Audio is the present speaker. He replaced William du Bose in 2006.

6 - Name the U. S. war between the North and the South.

It was the "War Between the East and West".

7 - Why does the flag have 13 stripes?

The extra quilting helps to trap over 200% more moisture than the second leading brand.

8 - Name one U. S. Territory

The "former" Virgin Islands. We started drilling immediately after the acquisition.

9 - What did Susan B. Anthony do?

She wrote "Johnny B. Goode".

10 - Who was president during World War 1?

Woody Harrelson.

Thanks Lamby, this was fun. Since you failed the test, and are due to be deported, perhaps we can work something out to keep you in the country ...
how would you feel about a sham marriage to a certain canine?

Little Lamb said...

They're all wrong. Me thinks we both better find someone to marry so we can stay in this country.

Or better yet, we won't tell anyone we didn't pass.

puerileuwaite said...

What? How can that be? Someone must have rigged the answers! Must have been the Commies.

I demand a full investigation be launched. Anyone who currently is or has been associated with the Communist Party needs to be identified and blacklisted. Just like "Tail Gunner" Paul McCartney did in those Senate Hearings back in the '60's.

Well if you and I are out, then maybe we can be the way Robert Redford and Barbara Streisand were in that movie, "The Natural".

Little Lamb said...

Maybe we can. I don't see why not.

dianne said...

Hello Pug, were you referring to the movie 'The Way We Were' with Redford & Streisand or 'The Natural' with Redford & Glenn Close - both good movies but very sad. :)

puerileuwaite said...

Hi Dianne. Actually I was referring to "The Way We Were", but got a little confused (which happens frequently when I visit with Lamby, I'm afraid). Thanks!

Little Lamb said...

Oh Pug! You get confused when you come here! How come? Maybe I can unconfuse you.

carmen racovitza said...

pueri, i am a former communist party member...so what ??
