BLOGGER IS A PAIN!!!!! I HAVE TO SIGN IN EVERY POST I POST WHEREVER I HAPPEN TO BE. AND IF THAT'S NOT BAD ENOUGH, I HAVE TROUBLE POSTING SOMETIMES BECAUSE BLOGGER WON'T ACCEPT MY USER NAME AND PASSWORD OR ANYTHING I PUT DOWN!!!! THIS IS FRUSTRATING!!!!
I signed up for a google accout that doesn't work when I post.

dad wanted to get me a new monitor or a new computer chair and I chose the chair.
i use two tanks of propane every summer -- it is too hot here to use the stove indoors so everything is bbq'd -- i've never bbq'd lamb

Lamby- I'm sorry you're having trouble-
I found the switch to be very painless...though making the google account seemed to be a bit queer- but it worked.
Send me an email if I can help you...though I can't imagine knowing something that /t doesn't know (except about making curtains perhaps? Which I was happy to do already!)
So...maybe try to create another google acct- and a "test" beta acct blog...then convert.
I didn't lose anything- posting pic's is much easier, and adding friends is easier too.
And you can always post anon at MV and then tell me who you are :)
I love to knit- so let me know if you need any help with that too :)

Phos & Little Lamb, when I switched to Blogger Beta I only encountered one problem (and it seems to be true of everyone who switched).
All previous comments on all previous posts will lose the profile photos. You will see NO PROFILE PHOTOS on any comments that were made on your entire blog previous to the switch. Also, SOME of those comments (actually, in my case about 15%) will mysteriously become ANONYMOUS. The comment will be there but you won't know who left it!
But other than that, Beta is easier to use. No more re-publishing, for instance. Photo uploads are quicker. I'm glad I switched.
Sorry, Lamby. 'Twas I that started the petition and got enough names on it, for Blogger to (finally!) take action and freeze your account.
Even though Blogger is now highly responsive for the rest of us, I DO realize the error of my ways.

I AM NOT BETA
i just straightened out my google account, which one day will become my beta account
so now i have two accounts: 1 for blogger, which is where my blogs still are, and 1 for google, which works on beta blogs (comments)
to make comments on some beta blogs you need a google account because your blogger account won't work -- you already know that
to make your google account work, sign in with 1) your email address and 2) your password
forgot your password? enter your email address and click on (?) (password) -- google will send a link to your email -- follow it to reset your password -- write it down somewhere safe
remember that your blogger account uses user name and password and your google account uses email address and password -- two different accounts(!)
change is not so tough :)

lamby from what i can tell all the advantages in beta do not apply to mac users like moi once again. i dont see that dashboard that lets you change type color or font size. so im not changing i willjust have to go to the party as anon.

I tried to switch to the Beta, the google folks are always hounding me to switch and was politely told they are only doing a few accounts for now and mine was too big. Probably punishment for bitching about the way Blogger handles (or doesn’t) pictures.

when you sign in,
sign in to your blogger account and tell it to 'remember me' -- when you comment for the first time on a beta site, sign in (in the comments box)with your google account -- your blogger account will remain active between sessions (as it does now, from day to day) and your google account will *also* remain active for the remainder of the current session (until you close your browser)

/t. Every time I sign in I have to tell it to remember me. I've been doing that a lot lately. Everytime I go to my dashboard I have to sign in. That's with firefox.
