I have reason to believe this particular vulture took this garbage bag out of the garbage can and was pulling it across the street. That's what I saw him doing as I approached him. A garbage truck was behind me so I had to quick take this picture. I think he must have been very hungry to do this. I know they only eat dead animals. Maybe someone's pet died and was in there, I don't know. I thought it was so funny.
I think I was getting to excited and he started to leave. Notice how the garbage can is knocked over?
The least thing he could have done was move it to the side of the street. I had to drive around it.

now THAT'S a funny thing!
Probably found a roast in the fridge they forgot to cook.
People think it stinks...
Vultures can't figure out why we throw so much good chow away.
That garbage must have been really smelly to attract that bird!
You know...now that I think of it, it almost looks like the bird is trying to put the trash bag INTO the garbage can, but got clumsy and, well...you know. Birds will be birds.
Wait... I think I can see the shape of his lips (buzzard lips are the hardest to read) ...
He's asking if you, kind lady , would put the bag back in the container...and, oh... by the way, his name is Oscar the Vulture, and he likes your piano playing.
(gee, boneman really gets a lot from reading vulture lips in a photograph)
d=^))
Oh dear! I didn't know what he was mumbling. A garbage truck was right behind me so I had to quick get out of they way.
I think he wanted me to open that bag so he could see what was inside that appealed to him.
And maybe he did like my piano playing.
I know better.
I have seen your handiwork before, Lamby.
It was you who ran over the trash can last night on your way home from lord knows where.
The vulture recognized your car and is obviously staring at you in judgement.
It may in fact be the very same vulture that you tried to blame when you knocked over a mailbox on the same street.
As I recall, you "claimed" you had also never seen a vulture do that before.
How did you know? I didn't mean to say that! Black Bart made me do it! NO! I didn't mean to say that either! How can I get out of this?
I just realized are you also t? So If Invite you to see my last post will you see it with your 2 digital personalities and opinate with both of them?
No, /t. is a separate person all together.
easy to see the difference, really.
Lil Lamb is the one with soft wool and /t is the one with a grill, some sauce, and a bag of mesquite charcoal brix.
this sort of thing
happens all the time around here,
especially after Lon's lamb sleepover/bbq night

how goes the piano practice?

The piano lessons and practice are gpong well. I should practice more.
They're big birds, so he could have knocked it over, or maybe had an accomplice - coyotes out here like to rummage through garbage cans if they get the chance...
We don't have coyotes to my knowledge, but we have racoons. Maybe a raccoon did it and this vulture was just helping himself.
hey LL,
happy 4th to you
&
the flock!

Thank you, /t.!
Hope you have a good 4th, and don't hold the firecracker after you light it!!
Thanks, you too!
When a vulture gets hungry- he'll do just about anything! (except actually kill his own dinner!) Hope you are having a great summer LL :)
Vultures that don't kill their own food! And we call them vultures?
I am having a nice summer, hope you are too!
Thought of you on the way home, there was a vulture circling above the road. No picture, though -- there wasn't anywhere to pull over and snap a photo.
I've seen them while driving also. When they fly it's hard to get their picture.
Have to toss a dead lamb out to sucker 'em in for a picture...
:-O
my barber told me that using hair tonic would help my hair grow in heavier...
I tried it, but only one hair grew in.
On the other hand, it weighed eleven pounds.
Good grief!
I asked my mom if I was adopted.
She said, "No, but we only put the ad in last week,"
Oh deer! i guess not yet!
Last night I dreamed I was a car muffler.
It wasn't bad...but I woke up exhausted.
I heard they put fences up around cemeteries because people are just dying to get in.
I think some cats meow way too much. Now, take my cat.
Please.
(boy...these jokes are almost as old as this post)
d=^))
I guess they are. I'll have to find something to post.
