Veteran's Day, to our veterans...

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

1. My country,' tis of thee, sweet land of liberty, of thee I sing;land where my fathers died, land of the pilgrims' pride, from every mountainside let freedom ring!

2. My native country, thee, land of the noble free, thy name I love;
I love thy rocks and rills, thy woods and templed hills; my heart with rapture thrills, like that above.

3. Let music swell the breeze, and ring from all the trees sweet freedom's song;
let mortal tongues awake; let all that breathe partake; let rocks their silence break, the sound prolong.

4. Our fathers' God, to thee, author of liberty, to thee we sing;
long may our land be bright with freedom's holy light; protect us by thy might, great God, our King.

Thanks to all who fought for their countries in the wars. They were young and knew little of the politics driving the war around them. All they knew was kill or be killed. No matter what side you were on, the terror in the trenches was the same.

For the Allies, my grandfather fought in both WW1 and WW2, evidence of the young age of so many of our soldiers.

Y'know, I can almost hear you singing this....
of course, you're using the voice of those sheeps on "BABE" and it sounds really cute.

Little Lamb said...

That was a cute statement.

My father's a Vet...he went to Vietnam.

There isn't a day that goes by when I don't thank him for bravely being drafted.

Little Lamb said...

A brave thing to do, Crash. My uncle was over there too.

Finally I agree with you, Lambycakes. This scares me.

Little Lamb said...

Little Lamb said...

Jack K. said...

Yes. 22.5 years and then retirement.

Little Lamb said...

What branch?

Ruela said...

i clone you

Little Lamb said...

That is so sweet! You can be my shepherd, Ruela.

Lon
isn't
gonna like it, LL

watch your back, ruela

/t.

Little Lamb said...

/t. how can you say that? You were the one who said, and I quote, "little lamb
has been eaten
by wolves

!!!"

Little Lamb needs someone to make sure that never happens.

Anonymous said...

well,
that was
just a rumor
i started... heard,
i mean, heard on the internet

you can fire Lon and replace him with ruela, LL, but Lon will be heartbroken -- i mean, sure, he is a werewolf and his palms are hairy, but he has always taken care of you and the lambs...

/t.

Little Lamb said...

Well, /t., rumors like shouldn't get out. It's bad for the shepherds. We'll see if Ruela will even take the job. Then I can have 2 shepherds.

Pink said...

Three. I wanna be a shepherd too!

But give meth lamb to Lon please. I don't mind if she's gone down eaten er...I mean beaten tracks with Lon as long as he calms her the heck down!!!! She stresses me out, Lamb Chop.

Ru seems a black sheep Lambie...watch out or you mind find yourself giving birth to zebras ;)

I miss Lambie's chat box. I miss Lambie's wooly bum.

Pink, you can be Pink lamb's shepherd. Oh what the heck, you can be a shepherd, too. The lambs need a woman to talk to about stuff.

Ru likes me. He said so. Maybe we should get to know each other first.

Someone was using foul language in my chat box. I don't go for that and everybody knows that.

Pink said...

yep. I wish that hadn't happened. I liked being able to pop by and say hi lambie *waves to lambie* for no reason but to say hi.

so

hi lambie *waving*

Me, Pink and the werewolf with team spirit at pastureland. :)))

"Ru likes me. He said so. Maybe we should get to know each other first."

Ohhhh! a glimmer of hope...

Little Lamb said...

Pink, my lambs dyed pink? Well, ok, but leave at least some of their original color so I can tell them apart. You know how all lambs look alike.

Ruela, I was hoping you would. GOOD I have lots of protection.

to you Ru, ;)

LOL...interesting comments ;)

Yes, thanks to all of our vets. They have made things like blogging possible. Cost them more than we always think about.

I'm not a vet, but my father, three uncles, and numerous other relatives were.
