Setting clocks back...

It's that time of year when we set our clocks back an hour. Don't forget to do this. We set our clocks back in the fall and ahead in the spring.

Personally, I don't see why we do this. I understand about daylight and nightlight, but why mess with the time? Why can't we leave well enough alone. There are certain states that don't observe daylight saving time. What is one to do? I just have to go with the flow.

Whaaaaaat? Are you sure? Oh brother.Arizona does not participate in Daylight Savings Time and frankly I think we should all stop. Now. Immediately. Such a waste of time. What would Einstein think?

Little Lamb said...

Yes, I'm sure. No, Arizona does not participate. I thinks we all should stop, too, immediately, if not sooner. Yes, it is a waste of time. I have no idea what Einstein would think. Too bad we can't ask him.

It's supposed to save electricity.

Not sure if there is any hard evidence that it actually does.

Little Lamb said...

But yet they still charge an arm and a leg. Go figure.

i'm planning on sitting in a corner all winter long and pouting about it....
what if we all went on a daylight savings time strike?

Little Lamb said...

I think that's exactly what we should do!

saving time ?? what for ??

einstein would say we lose precious time ... a split second, when i set my watch on winter time and a full 5minute for setting my clock...

who's using my time ??

Krissie said...

We moved it a week ago. I'm still adjusting.

Little Lamb said...

Carmen, good question.

Krissie, we supposedly did this to save energy.

boneman said...

One of the modern moronitudes of our generation, eh.

Heck, if they wanted to really accomplish something, lets move the clock ahead by one winter every year. That way there's only good weather outside.

You are so right. It doesn’t make much of a difference. I mistakenly changed my time a week ago and noticed nothing. Of course, it may be that because I’m retired I wouldn’t notice anything.

Corn Dog said...

Hey Lamb.
You were right about the Daylight Savings Time or the lackthereof, but the dogs haven't adjusted yet. They wanted food an hour earlier. I didn't know what to tell them, so I told them, "no." That lasted all of 3 seconds. More time. Time and time again. Nothing but time on the brain.

Little Lamb said...

/t. Oh NO! STAY AWAY FROM DOLLY AND THE LAMBS!!!! I'll have to some how make them fireproof!

SSN, must be nice to be retired. No job responsibilities. But you answer to Alex.

Corn Dog, see? The pets don't know about Daylight saving time. They know nothing about the time change. All they know is when its time to eat, sleep, and play.

Little Lamb said...

It is.

Ruela said...

Little Lamb said...

I've asked Jesus Christ into my heart. I read the King James Version of the Bible.

Ruela said...

Ruela said...

yes what can be?

Little Lamb said...

Setting clocks back can be a waste of time.

The Phosgene Kid said...

Right - AZ doesn't turn the clocks back so the Mexicans have a tougher time finding the place in the dark.

Anonymous said...

I have an idea - just set the clocks half an hour back - then never change them and you will always be half an hour before or after everyone else, which people will just put down to you being eccentric... what do you think?

Little Lamb said...

Phos, Sounds good. Did you know the Mexicans are crossing the border at legal crossings and getting in with no problem? It's like we want them here.

Poochie, I like your idea, let's give it a try.

puerileuwaite said...

I adhere to my own calendar and method of keeping time, which is all "resychronized" with the passing of each new comet. And I am "this close" to getting Arizona to adopt my methodology.

Little Lamb said...

Sounds good to me. Maybe we should all adopt the pug's view on time.
