The new President...

Obama won the presidency. He promised change. He promised to end the war in Iraq. I guess that's one thing he and I agree on. They don't want us over there forever. I don't blame them. It's their country and they can do what they want with it.

Let's hope President Obama can get this country back on track like he says he can.

The reason I think he won is because he is a young man full of life and ideas. The reason I think McCain lost is because he is getting old and he choose a conservative woman as his running mate. A lot of people didn't like her, but yet a lot of people did like her.

I still don't trust the new president because of his ties with the wrong people, like a known terrorist like Bill Ayers. We'll see what kind of job the Democrats do this time around. They control the country now.

Right. Obama was eight years old when he "associated" with Ayers.

But I sure am glad that McCain's association with the Keating-5 in no way calls the Arizona senator's character into question.

Personally, I'm also glad the American people rejected Theocracy (as Sarah Palin would like to have instilled). As an Athame-carrying Witch, I have the opinion that the fewer fundamentalist Christians in office, the better our country will be.

In God we (I) trust, all others repent!

To repent is to change (http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/repent), and all need to change, eh?

Indigo, no matter how you look at it, history was made last night.

/t. Gee thanks.

Skunky, it makes one wonder?

Anna-lys, I won't. Since he got to that position, let's give him a chance. If he makes a mistake we can vote him out. Hopefully he realizes the job brings. There have been 2 attempts on his life so far. Hopefully that's all that'll happen.

Foam, you and me both.

Ruela, thanks, and right you are.

Dave, thanks for visiting and I agree with you.

I expect that Obama will be kept somewhat in line by the dems in House and Senete. The real damage has been done by white and black slave traders and owners of former years, Jim crow of days gone by and any remnants of racism of blacks or whites. Fort a good read, check out

One Blood: The Biblical Answer to Racism by Ken Ham, Carl Wieland, and Don Batten

Until then:

26 ...He [God] made from one [common origin, one source, one blood] all nations of men to settle on the face of the earth, having definitely determined [their] allotted periods of time and the fixed boundaries of their habitation (their settlements, lands, and abodes),

27 So that they should seek God, in the hope that they might feel after Him and find Him, although He is not far from each one of us.

28 For in Him we live and move and have our being; as even some of your [own] poets have said, For we are also His offspring.

29 Since then we are God's offspring...

Acts Ch. 17

I don't know. The Dems will have free reign so they may run this country into the ground or do some good, I don't know which.

What happened? I was counting on YOUR vote to put me over the top. Now I have all of this free-time for the next 4-years, that I have to find some way to pass. Sheesh.

Little Lamb said...

I'm sorry, I guess we didn't get to enough people to get you elected. Maybe next time.

Dont be sad Lil Lambie, I just hope he stays alive, give him a chance, he may surprise you in a good way. :)

Little Lamb said...

I won't be sad. He better stay alive. He earned his position as our president. He worked hard for it and campaigned. He will be and has been in my prayers. I will give him a chance. And he may do good for this country.

dianne said...

I sure hope he does, he's in my prayers as well, I want him to be one of the best Presidents you have ever had and I'm convinced he will try to do his best. ♥

And by the way, I am SICK AND TIRED of all of this bashing!!!

I think you know EXACTLY what I'm talking about.

I hang out with Bill Ayers all the time at the bar. Not only does he FREQUENTLY buy a round, but he's even more harmless than Norman Bates was after he was caught.

Many a time I have seen a fly land on the sticky counter surface, next to the bowl of stale peanuts, that he REFUSED to swat. Plus he always walks home instead of driving when he's too intoxicated (on the other hand, yours truly would attempt to drive over to Lamby's to "crash").

So I say ENOUGH! to the needless Bill bashing!

Little Lamb said...

Dianne, it could happen that way, too. He could be one of our best presidents yet. He's got a chance from me.

Pug, you know the notorious Bill Ayers? Wow! You must travel with important people. Tell him to behave himself and be on the side of goodness.

Skunkfeathers said...

puerileuwaite...*pssst*..while you weren't looking, Bill Ayers caught all those peanut-eyeing flies, put them in a nice little fly house, and then bombed it.

Actually we control the country. If you don't like something that is going on write your congressman, your senator, or the white house and let them know. If they don't write back, be persistent and remind them that sooner or later they'll be up for election again. Or you could bribe Obama with some taffy...

ANNA-LYS said...

If we should be judged by the people we hang out with - I think we all will be in deep shit, at least here in the Blogoland.

Little Lamb said...

Skunky, good one! I like it.

Phos, you're right, bribery of the right kind. We do have a certain amount of control.

Anna-lys, we better be very careful. We are judged by those we hang out with.
