Well, it's going to be an interesting Tuesday. The polls are getting closer as the "undecideds" make up their minds. There's a 5% difference in the polls as of 5 minutes ago.

Now, what I think is going to be interesting is seeing what dirty tricks that will be played on Election Day. The Republicans are fond of rigging Diebold viting machines to record votes incorrectly. The Democrats has an honored and time-tested history of having people rise from the dead to pull the lever for the (D) candidate.

Little Lamb said...

Yes, it will be interesting, but this time its the democrats who are cheating. Acorn registers voters more than once.

I agree with you Lambie. The ACORN thing is shameful. A democratic republic only functions as such when the voting is honest. Whether it's McCain or Obama who wins, I hope it's an *honest* win.

/t. Get thee behind me, /t.

Indigo, I really hope it's an honest election myself. I hope with whoever wins, the loser won't challenge it.

I would like you to vote for me instead.

(You can write in any candidate you want on the ballot)

What do I get if I vote for you?

LL-/t.?

Hmmm....maybe in '12?

As for the results...wahl...the voters spoke. By 6% points, they said Yobama.

For now, 'nuff said. As for the future, said the zen master, "we'll see..."

I'm going to go take my disappointment out on some scammers ;)

Little Lamb said...

/t. Oh no! I'd be in trouble.

Anna-lyus, I didn't vote for him, but he did win. History was made. It's an exciting time to be alive.

Skunky, Yes unfortunately our guy lost. We'll see what kind of job he does.

Obama did win fair-and-square. Since he is also a man of faith, I hope he will be guided by his faith to do things that are good, truthful, and honorable. I hope that he does not squander his chance to make a remarkably positive difference in our culture. And, very importantly, I hope he can be *everybody's* president -- even the ones who didn't vote for him. We're all Americans, we all love this country.

Little Lamb said...

He may have won fair and square, I don't know, but I think we should just leave it as it is.

He is a man of faith, but to which god?

We'll see what kind of job he does in the White House.

Well, my Deity has the command "Have perfect love and perfect trust. Live and let live. Fairly take and fairly give. And if if harm none, do as you will."

I'd take that simple, kind, loving code of conduct over Christofascism any day of the week.

If Obama is a moderate Christian instead of a hate-based fundamendalist, our nation would be better off for it.

Just as a side note: Have you ever considered how FEW fundamentalist Christians would actually worship Jesus if he came back today? His message was about love, charity, inclusion, tolerance, peace, and social justice. Most fundamentalists would say "What? He thinks widows and orphans need to be taken care of? He thinks unpopular minorities are real people too? He thinks the politically connected religious right is a white-washed tomb? I won't worship that commie hippie!"

Just a thought.

Take the power LL ;)

Indigo, I do sometimes think if Jesus came back today, how many followers would he have? I think very few. Even when He was on this earth a lot of people, his own, didn't recognize Him.

Ruela, okie dokie.
