More clouds...

Clouds fascinate me. When I was a little lamb - WAIT!!!! I am a little lamb. Ok, when I was a littler lamb, in my childhood, I was flying with my family someplace dad looked over my shoulder and asked me what was wrong. I was staring out the window wishing I could be on a cloud floating. I was wondering what it would be like. He explained to me that all clouds are is air. If I was floating on one I'd fall to the ground. Now, every so often I look up into the sky and look at the clouds.

Today after work I saw dark clouds and light clouds and thought to myself what an interesting picture that would make. I didn't have my camera with me. I was determined if the clouds looked like they did at work, I'd take a picture of it. To my surprise they were! When I got home I rushed into the house and got my camera. The first two pictures don't do it justice.

This one is the best out of the three. I really should learn to use my camera outdoors. But what better way to learn than to actually do it and learn from my mistakes.

Fay is long gone from me. Those storm clouds are from the storm we just had last night. Nothing abnormal, just a little rain.

Fay made history here by coming ashore a lot of times.

We are staying high and dry here in lamb land.

I just love all these neat-o sky shots :)

Thanks, me too! :-)

clouds make for great 'reflectors' for sunrises and sunsets.

Can you say "5 AM?"
it's worth it.

Little Lamb said...

I can say it, but I won't be. Not on my day off.

I thought I was the only one. In fact, whenever I'm driving, I can't take my eyes off of them.

Little Lamb said...

I think clouds are nice.

boneman said...

dang!
I'm gonna stop driving unless there are clear skies....

ouch!

OW!
Dang! I'm still wearing this dog bone!
OUCH get off me, Pug!
Ow!
(footsteps running)

Little Lamb said...

Oh so you placed a dog bone to catch dogs.

Driving when there are clear skies is better than driving in the rain.

boneman said...

oh, that would be a funny picture!

wait....where's the guy with the bone on?

Little Lamb said...

I guess he ran away. I'll smile pretty while you take my picture. :-D

Gorgeous shots. Lamb. Is this leftover from Fay? really pretty. Looks kind of blue gray on my computer screen.

It's clouds illusions I recall,
I've never seen sheep falling through clouds at all... ;)

Corn Dog, Thank you. No these were taken after Fay was long gone. It's our rainy season. Fay did do a lot of damage, but good came out of it too. We may no longer be in a drought. And we're still getting rain.

Skunky, come to think of it, neither have I.

I was looking at your cloud photos last night and I thought I had left a comment, oh well looks like I didn't. They are beautiful Lil Lamb, I wonder what they would feel like to touch? :)

puerileuwaite said...

Well, I suppose it's okay, as long as Foam's comment does not encourage you to continue.

puerileuwaite said...

Oh crap. I just read your response to Foam's comment.

a hush falls over the crowd...
boneman steps up to the board
(and folks, sometimes he is very boring...)
but this is for the gold.
His hand raises...
he's lifting...
OH What a fabulous, four point deletion!
Yes! Boneman has over-reacted and deleted all four of his blogs in one swift afternoon!

Too bad there’s not a gold medal to hand him, though, as there is no over-reacting event at the olympics.
Instead we have
a gold colored glass.
Won't he love showing that off?

Oh, how sad.
And yet, not at all, because one blog is neater, swifter, and takes almost no time to deal with.

I say 'almost' because, well, you definitely have to watch where you step when there's gators hanging about.

(of course, as I borrowed the picture from Pug's place, they won't eat lambs at all.
They just try to 'cuddle' up to your kind...sort'a like they want y'all for pillows.)

Say, I don't suppose y'all are worrying about fires anymore, huh?
That's a good thing, I would think, for someone who's a little skittish about bbq's anyway.

Little Lamb said...

Dianne, thank you. You can come over whenever you want and look around.

Pug, What are you talking about?

Boney, we're not worrying about fires at all.

don't believe that boneman ..
big gators very much eat little lambs ..

very nice LL.

Little Lamb said...

......, I believe what you say about gators. They are meat eating.

Ruela, Thanks.

We need some rain badly out here. We are in a water shortage. Of course EBMUD's idea of that is just to charge you more for the water. Most everyone has stopped watering their grass though.

Little Lamb said...

We sort of had that last year during the draught. I think we were only allowed to water our lawns once or twice a week. You can some of our water we've been getting. I'm willing to share. I know how it is.

See, we have a lot in common, I am fascinated with clouds as well. We've been having Monsoons and the rest of hurricane Julio made it up here (just the rain part) so we've had a lot of rain, for the desert.

darkfoam said...

fay has been watering my lawn for the past 3 days..

boneman said...

well, as long as she flushes when she's done, eh?

And, no...this is Larry.
(you'll notice Larry's a lefty) and he assured me he only wants to rest his head on a soft lamb.

Still, it may be wise to wait till after he eats, because then they tend to just lay around....looking for pillows.

Little Lamb said...

Phos, Plus we both like lambs. Mice to see you around again.

Foam, I wondered what happened to Fay once it left here.

Boney, Your avatar is scary looking.

Lexcen said...

Try adjusting the white balance on your camera.

Little Lamb said...

I have to learn how to do that.

boneman said...

hmmm.
Maybe I should trade it in on something I draw....

Actually, I remember the day I pinched it from Pug's blog.
I remember it because that post he also had a picture of a polar bear sleeping in the snow and there was a penguin that had snuck up onto the back of the polar bear and was getrting ready to whack a pair of cymbols together....

Now, THAT'S funny.

But it doen't have anything to do with gators.

Little Lamb said...

I liked the one with the penguin.

boneman said...

It was FUNNY!

It reminded me of another comic....

boneman said...

I went to look, and still haven't found it.
But, now my little luch time is over, so I should return to painting.
After I finish my picture, I will look for the comic that reminded me of the panguin picture of Pug's.

Little Lamb said...

Hopefully you'll be able to find it.
