For your viewing pleasure...

I've added things to decorate my blog for your viewing pleasure. I have a chorus line of lamb jumping rope. What I'd like to do is have different color lambs in a line jumping rope. I don't want them to be all the same. I'd like something like you see the three lambs jumping rope on my side bar, but I'd like more colors.

I've also added more blogs. They're easier for me to visit that way and I don't leave anybody out. Since coming back to blogging I've been doing this everyday. I've also been making new blogging friends.

What's your opinion of my blog? Do you like it?

A three year old bought this car on the internet on Ebay. Can you imagine a three year old doing this? That is one smart kid. The seller found out what happened and didn't make the sale go through.

September 27th

Today is my birthday. I was born many years ago on this day.
What did you get me for my birthday?
This is not only my birthday, but it is also my 100th post. So let's celebrate both things in one day shall we?

My forum...

I have a question for all of you who visit here. I have a message board and it's very dull there right now because very few people are posting. I don't have a theme for it, either. Do any of you have any suggestions on what I can do to get it more exciting. It's located at: http://www.littlelamb.me.uk/
Any suggestions will be welcome.

September 25, 2005

Today is my blogs birthday or 1 year anniversary. And I haven't even posted many of those days. But I'm still around and trying to do a post a day to make up for it.

So what did you all get my blog for it's anniversay/birthday?

A little history of me getting a blog. Dyck suggested me getting a blog. Another online friend did. I decided to get one too. A bunch of us started posting on each others blogs and we all have made our own friends doing this. I still hang out with my old group, well, what's left of us, some have stopped blogging and others do still. But we have grown into a bigger group if I count everybody we blog with now. And we keep growing.

So here's to another year and more of blogging.

Who will run for president in '08?

Someone has a website up for Oprah to run in '08. I found this article on Yahoo.

Teacher persists on Oprah '08 Web site

By The Associated PressSat Sep 23, 9:27 PM ET

Patrick Crowe says he is having a blast promoting talk-show icon Oprah Winfrey for president. Winfrey's lawyers are not.

Crowe has been unofficially campaigning for the first lady of daytime TV for years. The Kansas City man's Web site, http://www.oprah08.net, comes complete with a campaign song and volunteer sign-up. He also sells "Oprah for President" T-shirts.

The retired math teacher's unflappable support has recently drawn the ire of Winfrey's lawyers, who sent Crowe a letter on Aug. 22 demanding that he remove her picture from the Web site and a book he is selling. The letter said Crowe's zeal has crossed into copyright and trademark infringements.

But Crowe is persistent. The Web site remained up Saturday, and he has been fielding requests for radio interviews.

"It has become increasingly serious to me," Crowe, who opposes the Bush administration and its foreign policy, told The Kansas City Star for a story Friday. "I know Oprah can do better than that."

Crowe believes Winfrey could bridge partisan lines with her charm. He also noted Winfrey's business acumen, widespread name recognition and reputation as a woman of compassion and determination.

A spokeswoman for Harpo said that Winfrey has said she has no political aspirations.

My comments: This made me think of when a bunch of us were campaigning for Mighty Dyckerson to run for president. Just ask Dyck and Rev about it. They'll tell you. I wonder where those campaign stickers are?

Part 2

/t. and Little Lamb finaaly get to see each other and /t. doesn't look very happy and Little Lamb feels guilty becasue /t. has done this so many times before. /t. speaks to the all the lambs except for Little Lamb. She is listening to their conversation. /t. is asking, "Why do you listen to Little Lamb, you know she's a bad influence. You know she gets you into trouble every time. You're all in trouble this time because you all went with her. You're lucky I don't decide to BBQ you all!

In fact we are having a BBQ this weekend and we're inviting a bunch of people." He doesn't tell them about the two lawyers that are coming. One for him and one for Little Lamb.

Little Lamb is a full of trouble lamb. She met Crashtest Comic in a strip joint. She has been known to be a stripper. /t had to rescue her.

Lamb Story...

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
One day I decided to stop jumping rope and relax. And possibly get a suntan. I got tired of that and decided to go for a walk. Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting As I was walking along I saw my sheep friends. Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting You should never let a bunch of sheep wander off by themselves. Sheep are prone to wander and can get themselves into all kinds of trouble. So they came to this bar. They had no idea what was inside, so they decided to check it out. They ordered drinks. They never had liquor in their life and were curious what it was all about. They got drunk. Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Some sheep got into fights. Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting The people in the bar were not happy about this and decided to call the police. Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting The police wanted to know who they belonged to. The sheep told them /t. owns them. So the police called him and asked him if he knew where his sheep were. /t. said they should be in their LAMB PASTURE over at his blog. The police asked him if he would mind checking up on them. While he went to his blog to check on his sheep /t. wonders what Little Lamb has done now. Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting He finds the lambs have escaped yet again! Little Lamb has always been the ring leader of the lamb wandering off. She is in BIG trouble now.

Overslept...

I don't have time to post anythimg this morning. I got up late.

Wednesday, September 20, 2006

I was looking for something to post today, as I do everyday. It's hard to come up with stuff EVERYDAY But I guess it makes up for the long time that I totally ignored this blog. Well anyway I came across an article that said New York was the safest city in 2005. I was very surprised to read that.

I used to live in New York. Well actually Long Island. I loved going into the big city. I remember how stand up comics would make jokes of people getting robbed, and how NOT to look like a tourist.

I move away and they make New York safer, go figure.

For our next president we should vote for whoever got New York to be safer. We need somebody in the White House who will listen to the people who puts him there. I want somebody in there who will do what they say they're going to do and not just to say stuff to get elected.

What do y'all think?

That's a picture of the Empire State Building. You probably know that already but I had to make this post at least as long as the picture. I think it might have looked funny otherwise. Alsop what is your opinion on that?

new post

hello, world

Too Much Time Online...

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting I think I spend too much time online. I find myself forgetting to do things. Everyday simple little things, like run the dishwasher. I must find other interests. I don't watch much TV because that would cut into my time online and they're always switching TV shows around. I do watch Survivor, but when that's on I have the computer on and the computer wins out. I am an online junkie. I start to go to bed, but then wonder if someone online has emailed me. I go check to see if they did. I find they have! I have to quick respond.

All I need to do is take a few minutes and just relax away from the computer. I really need that quiet time. I can still be in contact with all of you with little or no change. I can still visit all your blogs. So why don't I do it?

Do any of you have any suggestions?

Forums and Games...

How many of you go to forums? Message boards? Newsgroups? Whatever you want to call them. On the ones I go to they have word games. I was wondering if we could do that on our blogs? The one I have in mind is Ramdom Thoughts where one person picks a word and the next person puts down the word that pops into their minds.

Can we do that here?

Let me guess...

It was suggested that I guess what kind of car you drive. I'm not good at this. I always try to guess the cars my online friends drive and I'm always wrong. But what the heck, let's give it a try.

/t. - luxury car like Licoln Continental or Chryslar LHS. I think his bike is blue.
Pug: Mustang or small car, sporty car for Pug.
Crash - Truck, dodge ram.
Bill - Ford Escort.
Jodi - You seem like a Buick type of person.

If there are others I didn't get please post that I left you out. I'm going by people who usually post or have started posting here.

Part Two...

Well! Not one of you asked me what color car I had. Don't you want to know? I'm going to tell you. Do you realize this is my blog and it's all about me? My blog, about me. Ok, maybe I don't talk about me all the time, but that's ok, it's my blog and I can put bere what I want. It's all about what I want to put here. This blog revolves around me. Ok, enough of this rant. We all know this is my blog about me.

My car is crimson, dark red. And I love my car.

I have another question for you.

What kind of car do you drive?

Tuesday, September 12, 2006

What color car do you drvie?

Black? Silver? Yellow? Blue? Gray? Red? Pink? White? or Cream?

What do these colors mean?

Black cars denote an aggressive personality or someone who's an outsider or rebel.

Silver cars indicate someone who's cool, calm and slightly aloof.

Green cars can often be chosen by people with hysterical tendencies.

Yellow cars signify someone who is idealistic and novelty loving.

Blue cars are chosen by the more introspective, reflective and cautious driver.

Gray cars represent those who are calm, sober and dedicated to their work.

Red cars denote those who are full of zest, energy and drive and who think, move and talk quickly.

Pink cars are chosen by gentle, loving and affectionate drivers.

White cars represent status-seeking extrovert drivers.

Cream cars are the least likely to be involved in accidents and denote self-contained and controlled owners.

How accurate does your color describe you?
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting It's so nice to relax and just take it easy. But I better get up and start jump roping.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Gotta loose this extra weight so I don't end up being someone's dinner.

Too late!

The Anniversary of 9 - 11 ...

I was at work that day. Someone was watching TV in the back room seeing if it worked. I was minding my own business, doing my job when all of a sudden someone screamed "THE WORLD TRADE CENTER WAS HIT!!!!" The first thing I wondered and said was, "WHY?" I have a very inquisitive mind and want to know why things happen. The woman who screamed about the World Trade Center answered me, "I don't know."

I really didn't know what was going on. I didn't know any more stuff had been hit. I thought nothing more about it. I called my pastor for something or other and he was watching the terrible tragedy that was to change our security on airplanes and how we protect ourselves. It was still going on! I think by that time the pentagon had been hit.

That day was the first day I became aware of Osama bin-Laden.

It wasn't until the next day I realized what happened.

Trying...

I was trying to show you a picture by Thomas Kinkade. My computer won't let me post it. I'm having trouble. I have a bunch of his picture in a Word document and wanted to print just one. I am not able to do that. I even took the picture I wanted to show you and put it in a separate Word document. I could not even post that.

See what I mean about computers having their own minds. MY computer is jealous, I don't know of what, but it is.

Can someone help me? /t. can you?

Jerry Lewis...

3 senators call for Jerry Lewis honor

Wed Sep 6, 11:40 PM ET

Three senators introduced a resolution Wednesday to honor Jerry Lewis with the Congressional Gold Medal for his philanthropy and contribution to entertainment.

The resolution was sponsored by Sens. Frank Lautenberg and Robert Menendez, both Democrats from New Jersey, and Republican Sen. John Ensign (news, bio, voting record), of Nevada. Lewis was born in Newark, N.J., and lives in the Las Vegas-area.

Lautenberg said Lewis' annual Labor Day telethon to battle muscular dystrophy has improved the lives of thousands of children. "This kind of commitment is what made America great, and it is why Jerry Lewis is a great American," Lautenberg said.

Menendez said honoring Lewis with the medal "would be a fitting accolade to this larger than life individual."

Lewis, 80, has received numerous awards for his philanthropy. His telethon, which has raised $1.4 billion to fight muscular dystrophy since 1966, this year raised a record $61 million.

Congressional legislation is required to award the medal and needs the sponsorship of at least two-thirds of the House of Representatives and 67 senators.

Other recipients have included George Washington, the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., Jackie Robinson, Pope John Paul II, and Charles M. Schulz.

My comments - This has to be such an honor for him. I have always loved Jerry Lewis. He is one of my all time favorite comedians, and always has been. I remember growing up watching him.

He had a cute picture he carried with him and showed everybody his "pride and joy."

I always got a big kick out of that. He really knew how to make people laugh.

These two are responsible for my change. The dog sold his soul to the clown. The clown is a bad influence. The dog has said I am a good influence in his life. HA! I have seen no evidence of this.

Because the dog has sold his soul, I am keeping these changes.

I really get too involved online. This has got to stop. I gotta get a life!

I also have to get the chat box back. One thing you've got to watch out for, though is spam.

How to Maintain Your Car...

First, think long-term.
A great many people still believe a car is getting "old" at about eight years and 75,000 to 100,000 miles -- and so they start to think about getting a new one. This is 1970s thinking -- an echo of an era when the average new car was indeed getting noticeably tired as the odometer rolled close to six figures. But today's cars are often just hitting their stride at 75,000 miles -- and have another 75,000-plus left in them, easy. Unless you're one of those people who just likes to have new stuff all the time (and there's nothing wrong with that, if you don't mind a constant car payment) there's no reason short of abuse, poor upkeep or the occasional lemon you shouldn't be able to keep on driving your new cars for many years after it's paid off -- with gas, oil and routine maintenance your only out of pocket expenses during that time.

My comments: I would like to keep my car as long as possible. But I’ve been told my car can go 7,500 miles without an oil change. It’s still under warrantee, so lets find out, shall we?

Two, treat her nice.
This is just common sense -- but then again, common sense isn't so common. Many people condemn their car to an early date with the crusher by failing to do simple things like following the service recommendations in their owner's manual to the letter -- letting oil change dates come and go, forgetting about crucial preventive maintenance such as flushing out the brake system, changing the transmission's hydraulic fluids -- and so on. The advent of so-called "long life" chemicals (engine coolant, oils, transmission fluid, etc.) and extended tune-up intervals with "100,000 mile" spark plugs, etc. doesn't mean "eternal life" -- and that's precisely what your car won't enjoy if you don't pay attention to what the manufacturer recommends be done.

My comments: I probably should look in the owners manual to find out how long everything should last. Or better yet, maybe I should ask when I go get an oil change. My car was acting funny so I took it in to be checked out. While I was making my appointment, the lady asked me if I wanted my tires rotated. I did and said so and also asked her how often it should be done. She said every other oil change. I never knew that.

Three, know how things work -- and use them as directed.
Improper use of components and features will wear them out prematurely. An excellent example here is the misuse of four-wheel-drive and the two-speed transfer case -- an increasingly common feature as 4x4 SUVs and pick-up trucks have grown in popularity. Many people don't understand that leaving the transfer case in 4WD mode when driving at normal speeds on dry, paved roads (and especially going around curves at speed) will rapidly accelerate wear of the 4WD components, possibly resulting in failure of the transfer case, drive axles and other components. The selector should always be left in 2H on dry, paved roads and moved to 4High (or 4Low) only when attempting to get through heavy snow, mud -- or when driving on a rough, uneven (or gravel-surfaced) road. Read your owner's manual and become familiar with how every feature of your car or truck works, when it's supposed to be used -- and when it's not supposed to be used.

My comments: I never knew this either, but then again, I don’t have 4 wheel drive on my car.

Four, keep her covered if possible.
Vehicles that have to sit outside all their lives tend to deteriorate faster -- and show their age more obviously -- than cars and trucks that lead more sheltered lives. The sun beating down on a car's finish will leave it looking dull much more rapidly than would otherwise happen if the car sat inside a garage (or at least had a car cover on most of the time). The dash will fade and crack, seat fabrics wash out -- and so on. Heating and cooling cycles are also more severe when a car is subjected to the full force and effect of the outside environment. The AC has to work harder (and so will likely wear out earlier) when it has to repeatedly cool the interior off after the car has been sitting in the 100 degree sun. And it's much harder on the engine when cold-started on a 10 degree January day than it would be inside a garage that's 10-20 degrees warmer.

My comments: My car is an outsider car. We have well water which is bad for the car. The sprinkler come on in the morning and my car gets wet. My car looks like it’s a two tone color. I don’t have a cover for my car. I did have a cover for a previous car, but that was a lot of work. You need two people to cover it and uncover it. And how are you going to cover it when you’re at work?

Five, use the clutch properly.
If you drive a stick shift car, don't keep the clutch in any longer than necessary; in particular, don't hold it in while you're sitting at a light waiting for it to change. This will rapidly wear out hard-to-get-at (and thus expensive to fix) parts like the throw out bearing. Also learn to engage and disengage the clutch quickly and smoothly, without "riding" it -- or you'll be heading to the transmission shop for an early date with a big bill. Be especially gentle with your shifting on very cold days until the gear oil has had a chance to warm up a little -- which takes about 10 minutes of driving. No hard up or downshifts. If you have an automatic-equipped car, keep it in "D" and use the brakes to slow the vehicle on downhill grades (new brake pads being much cheaper than a new transmission). Always set the parking brake first before putting the gear selector in "Park" -- to avoid putting the entire weight of your vehicle on the transmission's internal "pawl" -- which can break or bin dup so tight under the load you ma not be able to get the transmission out of "Park" when you want to get going again!

My comments: I don’t have a clutch, I have an automatic.

Six, use the engine properly.
If you drive a manual-shift car, that means always selecting the right gear for the speed you're driving -- and above all, never "lugging" the engine by failing to move down a gear when necessary, as when slowing from highway speeds to in-town speeds. Lugging the engine can cause early bearing failure and other major problems. Regardless of transmission type, avoid short duration trips that keep the engine from reaching its fully warmed state -- what engineers call "thermal equilibrium" -- and if this is not possible, change the oil and filter more frequently, in accordance with the "heavy duty" or "severe service" schedule listed in the owner's manual.

My comments: Don’t know what to say here. Maybe I should get my oil changed more frequently. I haven’t waited until I drive 7,500 miles, but maybe close to it. I don’t know. Maybe I should start paying more attention.

Seven, pay attention to your gauges (and warning lights).
If the "check engine" light comes on, don't use electrical tape to hide it from view -- find and fix the underlying problem. Always scan your water and oil pressure gauges as you drive and make a mental note of their "usual" readings so you'll notice it immediately when one begins to indicate a potential problem developing -- for example, unusually high (or abnormally low) temperature gauge readings. Driving around obliviously while your engine overheats (or never warms up because of a stuck thermostat) will shorten your vehicle's useful life as surely as a diet of nothing but Hardee's Thickburgers will land you in the coronary care ward.

My comments: I do pay attention to warning lights. With one car I had the warning lights come on and go off. While they were off I went to Firestone(?) and they didn’t find anything wrong. The next day my car really acted up and I had to have it towed to someplace (Olsen Tires) and they ripped me off.

Eight, feed her right. Don't cheap out by pouring 20 gallons of unleaded regular into the tank instead of the premium called for by the designers of your car (if applicable). While modern electronics (knock sensors) will prevent the worst from happening -- specifically, engine-killing pre-ignition ("pinging") -- use of the incorrect grade of fuel is not doing your car's engine any favors. And beware of off-brand fuels -- no matter the stated octane. These may not have the same detergent additives as name-brand gasoline -- crucial to the well-being of a modern car's fuel injection system -- and may be contaminated with water and other things you don't want in your tank. Saving a buck or two at fill-up isn't worth risking a few hundred dollars in avoidable repairs down the road -- or hastening the end of your four-wheeled friend before its time has come.
Need a New Car?

My comments: I can get the cheap gas. Saves on money that way. Also, my car can take it. The owner’s manual says so.

What are your comments?

Eating Healthy...

Yahoo! News
Web site steers diners to healthy eats

By CANDICE CHOI, Associated Press WriterSun Sep 3, 9:36 PM ET

Restaurants, under fire from health advocates for too-big servings and not enough detail on nutrition, are fighting back.

The National Restaurant Association is building a Web site that will provide a hefty list of healthy meals and restaurants across the country where they can be found.

While the Healthy Dining Finder site isn't as upfront as the onsite brochures and posters that health experts have called for, it is a step in the right direction, said Christine Gerbstadt, a nutritionist with the American Dietetic Association.

The Web site is a way to discreetly court dieters willing to do research without offending others who may not want to be confronted with shockingly high calorie counts.

"It's a happy medium," said Sue Hensley, spokeswoman for the National Restaurant Association.

Arming diners with nutritional information is especially critical now, with Americans eating out more than ever before, Gerbstadt said. "People need to know what they're consuming," she said.

Tricia Bliss, a petite 35-year-old, always logs onto the Internet to check nutritional information before going to lunch with co-workers.

If their chosen restaurants don't have anything she can eat, she'll persuade her friends to go elsewhere.

That's just the type of customer the Healthy Dining Finder — http://www.healthydiningfinder.com/ — is intended to reach.

The site is collecting nutritional information on the four to 10 healthiest dishes at restaurants in a community. Users can punch in their town or ZIP code and search for restaurants by cuisine or price range. It is already available for preview, but a formal launch with more than 10,000 restaurant listings is scheduled for January.

"It's going to be the Grand Central of nutritional information," said Erica Bohm of Healthy Dining, the company that developed the site with the restaurant association.

Their hope is to dispel the notion that dieters must stay at home or leave their diets at the door.

"When people go on a diet, they think 'Oh, my God, I'll never be able to eat out again,'" said Netty Levine, a nutritionist at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

But with some help, Levine said, people can find ways to stick to their diets wherever they go. It's a matter of doing a little research and asking servers the right questions. (Is the spinach sauteed in oil? Is the sea bass breaded?)

The Healthy Dining Finder will make that work easier, although Levine cautions that online calorie counts might not always be accurate. Two plates of chicken parmigiana, even from the same restaurant, can vary greatly.

The Web site begs the question: Why not post the information in the restaurants or on menus?

"It's sort of sneaky that they do it online but not in the store," said Elizabeth Picker, a 19-year-old Albany resident. "When people go out, it's usually a spur-of-the-moment thing, and they aren't going to be able to go online."

Some cafes are more upfront about what they serve. At Au Bon Pain bakeries, computer kiosks calculate calories and other details for sandwiches and pastries, and Applebee's uses the Weight Watchers point system on its menu. Subway boasts of its sandwiches' nutritional value — even printing the information on its napkins.

"If it's a fine dining restaurant, there's not going to be a poster. The type of restaurant is going to drive how the information is made available," Hensley said.

My comments...

This could catch on and hopefully will. Right now, I'm not too sure of this. I'm this way and that way. I never can make up my mind on anything. It has its pros and cons. If someone were on a special diet, they could go to the above links and look for a healthy place to eat. If you were in a rush and wanted to eat anything, you won't bother looking where you can eat healthy stuff.

Not all restaurants are on that list. I ciecked it out. McDonalds claims to have healty food. I live close by a McDonalds. I went to http://www.healthydiningfinder.com/
and found out that Arby's was a healty restuarant. It asks you for your street, which is optional, I didn't put that in, it asks you for your town and state, I put those in. I live about a mile from the nearest McDonalds. About 5 miles from Arby's. If McDonalds has healty food they better get in there!

Feel free to comment.

Question???

Notice anything different? Yes or No

Do you like it? Comments...

Saturday, September 02, 2006

I like to play games on my computer. One game I like a lot is Bulldozer. You get to push boulders onto a target. You're moving the boulder with a bulldozer, hence the name of the game, Bulldozer. Here's a picture to show you what I'm talking about.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

It's not as easy as it looks. There's Bulldozer 1 and Bulldozer 2. There are 60 levels you have to complete to finish the game. With Bulldozer 1 I have completed 56b levels. This is what level 56 looks like.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

I have yet to figure it out. The problem is if you get a boulder against a wall there is no way to get it away from the wall. I'll show you what I mean. I have gotten up to level 41 in Bulldozer 2 and found a glitch in level 41.

Do you see the boulder against the wall on the top of the picture? There is no way to get the boulder to move away from the wall.

If anyone can help me out with this it would be much appreciated.

I might add this is a Windows 95 game. It came on a CD with 40 games made by Expert Software.

Bananas

After Reading THIS, you'll NEVER look at a banana in the same way again!

Bananas Containing three natural sugars - sucrose, fructose and glucose combined with fiber, a banana gives an instant, sustained and substantial boost of energy. Research has proven that just two bananas provide enough energy for a strenuous 90-minute workout. No wonder the banana is the number one fruit with the world's leading athletes. But energy isn't the only way a banana can help us keep fit. It can also help overcome or prevent a substantial number of illnesses and conditions, making it a must to add to our daily diet.

Depression:

According to a recent survey undertaken by MIND amongst people suffering from depression, many felt much better after eating a banana. This is because bananas contain tryptophan, a type of protein that the body converts into serotonin, known to make you relax, improve your mood and generally make you feel happier.

PMS:

Forget the pills -- eat a banana. The vitamin B6 it contains regulates blood glucose levels, which can affect your mood.

Anemia:

High in iron, bananas can stimulate the production of hemoglobin in the blood and so helps in cases of anemia.

Blood Pressure:

This unique tropical fruit is extremely high in potassium yet low in salt, making it the perfect way to beat blood pressure. So much so, the US Food and Drug Administration has just allowed the banana industry to make official claims for the fruit's ability to reduce the risk of blood pressure and stroke.

Brain Power:

200 students at a Twickenham (Middlesex) school were helped through their exams this year by eating bananas at breakfast, break, and lunch in a bid to boost their brain power. Research has shown that the potassium-packed fruit can assist learning by making pupils more alert.

Constipation:

High in fiber, including bananas in the diet can help restore normal bowel action, helping to overcome the problem without resorting to laxatives.

Hangovers:

One of the quickest ways of curing a hangover is to make a banana milkshake, sweetened with honey. The banana calms the stomach and, with the help of the honey, builds up depleted blood sugar levels, while the milk soothes and re-hydrates your system.

Heartburn:

Bananas have a natural antacid effect in the body, so if you suffer from heartburn, try eating a banana for soothing relief.

Morning Sickness:

Snacking on bananas between meals helps to keep blood sugar levels up and avoid morning sickness.

Mosquito bites:

Before reaching for the insect bite cream, try rubbing the affected area with the inside of a banana skin. Many people find it amazingly successful at reducing swelling and irritation.

Nerves:

Bananas are high in B vitamins that help calm the nervous system.

Overweight and at work?

Studies at the Institute of Psychology in Austria found pressure at work leads to gorging on comfort food like chocolate and chips Looking at 5,000 hospital patients, rese archers found the most obese were more likely to be in high-pressure jobs. The report concluded that, to avoid panic-induced food cravings, we need to control our blood sugar levels by snacking on high carbohydrate foods every two hours to keep levels steady.

Ulcers:

The banana is used as the dietary food against intestinal disorders because of its soft texture and smoothness. It is the only raw fruit that can be eaten without distress in over-chronicler cases. It also neutralizes over-acidity and reduces irritation by coating the lining of the stomach.

Temperature control:

Many other cultures see bananas as a "cooling" fruit that can lower both the physical and emotional temperature of expectant mothers. In Thailand, for example, pregnant women eat bananas to ensure their baby is born with a cool temperature.

Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD):
Bananas can help SAD sufferers because they contain the natural mood enhancer tryptophan.

Smoking:

Bananas can also help people trying to give up smoking. The B6, B12 they contain, as well as the potassium and magnesium found in them, help the body recover from the effects of nicotine withdrawal.

Stress:

Potassium is a vital mineral, which helps normalize the heartbeat, sends oxygen to the brain and regulates your body's water balance. When we are stressed, our metabolic rate rises, thereby reducing our potassium levels. These can be rebalanced with the help of a high-potassium banana snack.

Strokes:

According to research in "The New England Journal of Medicine," eating bananas as part of a regular diet can cut the risk of death by strokes by as much as 40%!

So, a banana really is a natural remedy for many ills. When you compare it to an apple, it has four times the protein, twice the carbohydrates, three times the phosphorus, five times the vitamin A and iron, and twice the other vitamins and minerals. It is also rich in potassium and is one of the best value foods around. So maybe its time to change that well-known phrase so that we say, "A banana a day keeps the doctor away!"

Photobucket - Video and Image HostingThat's what I feel like doing when I can't get Microsoft Word to do what I want it to.

I was trying to group three things together and had a hard time doing it.  It FINALLY got done.

Sometimes I think Word has a mind of its own.  I think computers do too.  I also think they do things just to annoy us, like crash.  They get us nice and attached to them so we pay attention to them, get attached to going online and do what we do online, and then they crash.  They want us to pay attention to just them without going online.  They break down so we have to fix them.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting  I can't think of anything to write about.  I had today off because of a tropical storm that was supposed to be a hurricane.  It ended up being a tropical depression.  I love time off.  In fact I'd like more time off to do whatever.

Tomorrow I go back to work.  Yes, I do use four letter words.  Work is a four letter word.  Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

What some people will do for their pets

Woman crashes when teaching dog to drive

Mon Aug 28, 8:19 PM ET

A woman in Hohhot, the capital of north China's Inner Mongolia region, crashed her car while giving her dog a driving lesson, the official Xinhua News Agency said Monday.

No injuries were reported although both vehicles were slightly damaged, it said.
The woman, identified only be her surname, Li, said her dog "was fond of crouching on the steering wheel and often watched her drive," according to Xinhua.

"She thought she would let the dog 'have a try' while she operated the accelerator and brake," the report said. "They did not make it far before crashing into an oncoming car."

Xinhua did not say what kind of dog or vehicles were involved but Li paid for repairs.

My comments

Who in their right mind would teach a dog to drive? I know you can teach a dog to do almost anything, but to drive?

Let's say you did teach your dog to drive, imagine the possiblities. YOu could sleep on your way to work, providing your dog was a good driver. but the thing is, would the dog knwo what time to pick you up?

I saw a cute T-shirt at work today. Toto wrote Dorothy a letter, from the Wizard of Oz. It said,

"Dear Dorothy,

I hate Oz. I took the ruby slippers. Find your own way home.

Toto."

I thought that was so cute.

Ernesto, again...

Ernesto is still a tropical storm. If we can survive a bunch of major hurrcanes, we can survive an itty bitty tropical storm. All this hype about Ernesto turning into a catagory 3 hurricane, honestly!

Ernesto

We may get hit by yet another hurricane. Boss Lady said we weren’t going to get any this year, so we’ll see. Ernesto is now a Tropical Storm. It supposed to gain hurricane strength by the time it reaches Florida. It’s supposed to hit the Keys first, so they’re evacuating all the tourists. Every time they do this the silly hurricane goes some place else. EVERY SINGLE time it seems. All of Florida is under a hurricane watch.

We’ll know more as it heads this way.

GO AWAY ERNESTO!!!! WE’VE HAD OUR FAIR SHARE OF HURRICANES!!!! IT’S SOMEBODY’S ELSE’S TURN!!!! OH, AND DON’T GO TO LOUISIANA THEY STILL HAVE TO RECOVER FROM LAST YEAR AND WE HAVE TO RECOVER FROM 2 YEARS OF HURRICANE DAMAGE!!!!

What gets to me, is, last year we had plenty of time to prepare. Wilma took its sweet time getting here. It kept stalling and taunting Florida. You still had the long lines at the gas station and waiting for food stamps and everything.

Stay tuned...

???

What would you think of someone who doens't like America, and thinks this country is a joke, who lives here, and won't go back to their own country? Plus this person has fathered two children and won't support his own kids. This person is on disability.

I believe this person is on disability so he doesn't have to support his own kids. This person also has 2 part time jobs and is too lazy to get up in the morning. One job is off the books.

What would you think of such a person?

My work week...

First off, let me say I will try to start blogging on a regular basis. I will try not to slack off. I just have to find stuff to write about.

My work weed starts on Tueday and ends on Saturday. 5 days straight. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. I have 2 days off. Sunday and Monday. I hate that schedule. I want my weekends, Saturday and Sunday off. That's how its supposed to be.

I consider my work week to be Monday to Friday. L:ke this:

Tuesday is my Monday
Wednesday is my Tuesday
Thursdzy is my Wednesday
Friday is my Thursday
Saturday is my Friday

Is that so hard? No, I didn't think so. Boss lady doesn't like it that way. She's happy with the days of the week we work. So to keep every body happy I just keep my mouth shut and keep my week the way I like it.

When one of us takes a Saturday off and Friday is their last day, it is actually Friday for them.

Understand?

The people I work with

are something else.

First we have the “Screecher” this one has a high pitched voice when they talk loudly. She’ll be right next to you and then schreech. She’ll watch you jump and then laugh.

Then we have “Loud Mouth.” You know when she’s around. She speaks loudly and yells. And if she’s not saying anything she bangs things around. This one is LOUD. She talks like a sailor or truck driver.

I don't work with these two all day, but we do run into each other. I work for a non profit organization processing donated clothes. I work with people who hang the clothes. I process and pick out the good stuff and the hanger hangs them on a rack and brings the rack out and someone else puts them away, like Big Mouth.

My supervisor will be referred to as the "Boss lady." I called her a bad name one time and found out that was not a good idea.

I process clothe for the "Grabber" in the morning and "Slacker" in the afternoon. Grabber grabz the clothes and quick hangs them before I even know there gone and then wants more clothes. As soon as I turn my back the clothes are gone. If I'm not finished with them, I have to quick grab them back and finish with them.

"Slacker" is the total opposite. You have to push clothes to him or he won't touch them, unless, of course you give him the clothes out of order they were processed in.

These are some real characters.

Survivor is going to be better than ever!!!

A Racy Twist for "Survivor"

By Gina SerpeWed Aug 23, 7:21 PM ET

Some may call it exploiting racial tensions. CBS calls it darn good television.

Jeff Probst popped in on The Early Show Wednesday morning, confirming the reports that the 20 castaways for Survivor: Cook Islands will be grouped by race, with competitors divided into four tribes consisting of whites, blacks, Asians and Hispanics.

Apparently, "separate but equal" holds only the warmest of connotations for Mark Burnett.

Like a good host, Probst had nothing but praise for the producers' controversial brainchild, calling the exercise in segregation a valuable social experiment, rather than a stunt to dig up some controversy--and raise ratings.

"The idea for this actually came from the criticism that Survivor was not ethnically diverse enough, because for whatever reason, we always have a low number of minority applicants apply for the show," Probst said.

"So we set out and said, 'Let's turn this criticism into creative for the show.' And I think it fits perfectly with what Survivor does, which is, it is a social experiment. And this is adding another layer to that experiment, which is taking the show to a completely different level."

Different level, yes. Good level, still to be determined.

"If I had been a producer of this show, it is not an idea I would have come up with or given approval to," Robert Thompson, director of the Center for the Study of Popular Television at Syracuse University, told E! Online. "It's like a return back to segregated leagues in sports. The unseemly interest this will invite certainly is not worth the dramatic elements it's going to bring."

"To the less-than-open minded person, it is very easy to trash us," Burnett explained to Entertainment Weekly. "But we're smart enough to not make it negative. We're smart enough to have gotten rid of every racist person in casting."

Though more to the point, the producers haven't and can't weed out every racially sensitive person in their audience who may take offense to the seemingly archaic, and potentially socially irresponsible, division.

While the 43-year-old host admitted that the players themselves had "mixed reactions" to the racial separation, he made clear that the division was not meant to incite any controversy, add to the tension during the competition or simply be viewed as a gimmick.

"Our original idea was simply to have the most ethnically diverse group of people on TV. It wasn't until we got to casting and started noticing this theme of ethnic pride that we started thinking, 'Wow, if culture is still playing such a big part in these people's lives, that's our idea. Let's divide them based on ethnicity,' " he said.

Though not everyone is as excited about the idea as Probst and his Survivor crew.

"It sounds like a gimmick a lot of people are going to have real issues as to the taste of," Thompson said.

Referencing Burnett's previous experiments on Survivor and The Apprentice to divide teams by boys vs. girls and, more recently on the latter, by street smarts vs. book smarts, Thompson said that "these things don't often work so well in less dicey situations."

And any publicity is good publicity, right?

"As far as getting some attention, getting it talked about again, this'll do it," Thompson said. "Survivor is a great game. It's the gold standard of reality TV. But nobody seems to talk about it anymore."

Or watch it.

Survivor: Cook Islands will be the reality show's 13th installment and comes on the heels of the least watched season in the series' history. Despite garnering an Emmy nod for Best Reality Competition, Survivor: Panama--Exile Island, which split the tribes based on gender and age, averaged a franchise-low 16.8 million viewers. Hence the latest drastic measure.

CBS Entertainment president Nina Tassler told EW that while she was hesitant to give the go-ahead on the "risky idea," she finally relented, saying it was the logical next step in "a show that explores social politics."

"It's not just 18 white people," Probst told the magazine. "Suddenly you have new slang, new rituals--people doing things like making fire in ways that haven't been done on Survivor. I think we have a season where people will say you can never go back to what you were before."

It's not the first time a primetime reality show has flirted with race, though it will be the first time one follows through.

Last year, Donald Trump hinted that The Apprentice was toying with the idea of dividing his two teams by race, only to backtrack on the notion when backlash started up, saying "I personally don't like it, so it will never happen."

Survivor: Cook Islands kicks off Sept. 14. Here's a list of the competitors:

  • Rebecca Borman, 24, makeup artistLaurelton, New York;
  • Anh-Tuan "Cao Boi" Bui, 42, nail salon managerChristiansburg, Virginia;
  • Sekou Bunch, 45, jazz musician, Los Angeles;

What I don't understand is how was this an accident???

Suspect says Ramsey death 'an accident'

By SUTIN WANNABOVORN, Associated Press Writer 23 minutes ago

BANGKOK, Thailand - A former American school teacher said publicly Thursday he was with

JonBenet Ramsey when she was killed and called the 6-year-old's death "an accident," a stunning admission that should help answer 10 years of questions in the unsolved murder case.

John Mark Karr, 41, will be taken within the week to Colorado, where he will face charges of first degree murder, kidnapping and child sexual assault, Ann Hurst of the Department of Homeland Security told a news conference in Bangkok.

"I was with JonBenet when she died," John Mark Karr told reporters afterward, visibly
nervous and stuttering as he spoke. "Her death was an accident."

Asked if he was innocent of the crime, Karr said: "No."

Karr confessed to the killing after his arrest Wednesday at his downtown Bangkok apartment by Thai and American authorities, said Lt. Gen. Suwat Tumrongsiskul, head of Thailand's immigration police.

He said Karr insisted his crime was not first-degree murder but that she died during a kidnapping attempt that went awry.

"He said it was second-degree murder. He said it was unintentional. He said he was in love with the child, she was a pageant queen," Suwat said.

Karr declined to say what his connection was to the Ramsey family. Dressed in a turquoise polo shirt and khaki trousers, he appeared ashen with an expressionless look on his face.

An attorney for the Ramsey family said Wednesday that Karr once lived near the family in Conyers, Ga.

JonBenet was found beaten and strangled in the basement of the family's home in Boulder, Colo., on Dec. 26, 1996.

Wednesday's arrest was a surprise development in one of America's most lurid murder cases, which had left a cloud of suspicion over her family after years went by with no arrests. Some feared the case would never be solved.

Striking video images of the blonde-haired girl in child beauty pageants helped propel the case into one of the highest-profile mysteries in the United States.

A law enforcement source, speaking on condition of anonymity, told the AP that Karr had been communicating periodically with somebody in Boulder who had been following the case and cooperating with law enforcement officials.

A University of Colorado spokesman, Barrie Hartman, said journalism professor Michael

Tracey communicated with Karr over several months and contacted police. The university spokesman said he didn't know what prompted Tracey to become suspicious of Karr.

Tracey produced a documentary in 2004 called "Who Killed JonBenet?" A woman who answered the phone at a number under his name said he didn't live there anymore; his office phone mailbox was full.

The Ramseys learned that police were investigating Karr at least a month before the June death of JonBenet's mother, Patsy Ramsey, of ovarian cancer, the family said.

In a statement Wednesday, father John Ramsey said that if his wife had lived to see Karr's arrest, she "would no doubt have been as pleased as I am with today's development almost 10 years after our daughter's murder."

Suwat quoted Karr as saying he tried to kidnap JonBenet for a $118,000 ransom but that his plan went awry and he strangled her. Patsy Ramsey reported finding a ransom note in the house demanding $118,000 for her daughter.

Investigators said at one point that JonBenet's parents were under an "umbrella of
suspicion" in the slaying, and some news accounts cast suspicion on JonBenet's older
brother, Burke. But the Ramseys insisted an intruder killed their daughter, and no one was ever charged.

Over the years, some experts suggested that investigators had botched the case so
thoroughly that it might never be solved. The Ramseys moved back to Atlanta after their aughter's slaying.

"It's been a very long 10 years, and I'm just sorry Patsy isn't here for me to hug her neck," said Lin Wood, the family's longtime attorney.

"John and Patsy lived their lives knowing they were innocent, trying to raise a son despite the furor around them," Wood told MSNBC.

Suwat said U.S. authorities informed Thai police on Aug. 11 that an arrest warrant had been issued for Karr on charges of premeditated murder. The warrant was sent to Thai police on Wednesday.

"Through investigation we were able to determine where his residence was and the Thais arrested him," Hurst said. "He did not resist. He did express surprise."

Hurst said Karr has been "very cooperative" with authorities and that he's shown a "variety of emotions."

Suwat said Karr arrived in Bangkok on June 6 from Malaysia to look for a teaching job. It was not clear whether he had gotten a job, the police officer said.

Karr's visa has been revoked as an "undesirable person" given the accusations against him, and U.S. authorities were expected to take him to the United States in the next few days, Suwat said.

Hurst, with the department's U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Bangkok, said that Karr had left the United States several years ago and had not returned.

The immigration and customs office had assisted the Boulder County District Attorney's Office and the Royal Thai Police in the investigation.

The suspect, who has been in Thailand five times over the past two years, was being
detained by immigration police pending arrival of U.S. officials, Suwat said.

When asked how he could travel for so many years in Asia, and whether he was independently wealthy, Hurst responded, "We're asking the same questions."

Police said Karr had been living in a dormitory-style hotel called The Blooms in a
neighborhood of massage parlors and travel agents that cater to expatriate residents and sex tourists. The nine-story hotel offers rooms for as short as three-hour rentals.

The district attorney in Boulder, Mary Lacy, said the arrest followed several months of work.

She said Karr, who had traveled extensively across the world, may also be connected to a prior case in Santa Rosa County, Calif. She did not provide further details.

Sonoma County Chief Deputy District Attorney Joan Risse confirmed the child pornography charges and arrest warrant against a John Mark Karr, though she cautioned that she didn't know if he was the same person held Bangkok. State records show Karr lost his teaching credential in 2002.

Can you believe this???

Doggie hotel opens -- 23 dollars a night, television optional

by Virginie MontetTue Jul 18, 3:12 AM ET

Washingtonians can now drop their pooches off at a pet hotel that cares for their friendly canines in a five-star environment -- pet-themed television shows optional.

In the mahogany paneled lobby of the PetSmart PetHotel, which just opened in the Washington suburb of Bethesda, the pets' human "parents" line up to plunk down 23 dollars plus tax for each night their pooch stays.

The doggie hotel is nothing like kennels of yore: in this inn there is lactose-free ice cream, indoor recreation, and for 10 more dollars a night, pooch can stay in a roomier "suite" with a television set showing an "animal related movie all day," said Vince Malanaphy, who manages the Bethesda PetsHotel.

"It helps them to relax and to adjust as they are used to hearing TV at home," Malanaphy says.
In one "suite" a little white poodle named Bijou is lost in the embrace of Morpheus with "Little Nemo" and his cartoon friends swimming by in an eternal loop on the TV set.
A stay at "Doggie Day Camp" without the overnight goes for 20 dollars the day.
Half of the boarders come every day. "It's better than leaving them at home alone," said Cyra, one of the pet "mothers," as she drops off her Labrador and her poodle for Day Camp before running off to the office. Here "they can socialize," she said.

For potty breaks there is a 20 square meter (215 square foot) "relief room" complete with a plastic tree. "For security reasons, no outdoor walking," says Malanaphy.
Meredith, in charge of animal recreation, says that if dogs "are aggressive or play too rough, we give them a time out in a cage" for 15 minutes. "After twice, they get the message," she says.
The Bethesda site has room for 180 dogs and 26 cats. Cats stay in plexiglass cages known as "kitty cottages" for a mere 14 dollars plus tax a night, which includes 15 minutes of TLC -- Tender Loving Care, otherwise known as petting.

The Phoenix, Arizona-based PetSmart Inc. launched the pet hotel concept three years ago and it is "the fastest growing sector" of the pet business, said spokesman Bruce Richardson. "Now we have 32 hotels; we anticipate 240 by 2010," he said.
Gina Martin, a consumer retail analyst at Wachovia Bank, sees only growth in the pet care industry.

"General spending for pets is growing at an extraordinary pace," said Martin. "There is a trend for the treatment of the pet as another human being."

Americans spend nearly 40 billion dollars a year on their household pets -- 30 percent more than five years ago. The figure is close to what Americans spend on toys for children -- 48 billion dollars -- and more than twice the 17 billion spent on cosmetics, Martin said.

I haven't been feeling well for the past week. I woke up one Saturday morning thinking to myself, "Self, I feel terrible. I don't think I'll be able to work today. I would probably have to ask to leave work early.

I was going to give myself a chance to wake up and see how I felt then. I felt horrible. I called in sick that day. I slept for a good protion of the day and headaches statted. I was eating tylenol extra strength every 4 hours like clock work. I slept a good part of the day and night. The headaches started after I lied down. I think they woke me up.

I went to church on Sunday, not feeling good. I stayed home Sunday night because my head was pounding.

I went to the doctor Momday morning. She gave me medicine for my headache and checkled my heartbeat. It was irregular. The next day I went back for more medicine I could take during the day for my headaches. While I was there, they scheduled me for an MRI of the brain and an Echo doppler which is an echocardiagram. The MRI didn't show amything, but the echocardiagram did. They told me what they found, but I don't know what it is. And I don't know what it means. They want me to take a stress test and they will schedule one for me they said.

I have been back to work and now my back hurts something fierce. Other then that, I'm fine. The doctor gave my exercises to do with some medicine to take.

Do I sound like a drug addict?

My back still hurts, but I will continue taking the medicine and doing the exercises.

My trip to Texas...

Ok, so you want to hear about my trip to Texas. Dad and I went to visit my uncle who lives there. My cousin and her family also live there. We got to see them all. We went to the Texas Motor Speedway. I learned a few things about racing. For instance, I didn't know they had a place for pit stops if they need to do stuff. They also have a place called Victory Lane to take pictures of the winning car and person.

We also went on a ride in my uncle's boat. I haven't been on a boat in I don't know how long. I had a blast.

My cousin and I also had a manicure.

That visit was short and sweet.

On the way home from Texas...

I have been told it was time for a new post. I don't always do as I'm told. Well, here goes. It is time for a new post.

Dad and I went to Texas to visit my uncle. On our way home, when we arrived at the airport, before going through security, dad decided to look for his car keys. He looked in his pockets, they weren't there. He looked through his luggage, they weren't there. He kept gong back and forth, franticly looking for those car keys. He didn't find them. We were making all these plans on what we were going to do. Dad got a hold of my uncle.

What we ended up doing was spending an extra day in Texas. And then back to the airport.

Sorry this is so short, but I had to make a quick post to let all of you out there knwo I am still alive and kicking.

I must get more regular with this.

6 Weird things about me...

Hmmm, I wonder what they could be?

I talk to myself all the tine. I even hold conversations with myself. It's so funny at work, I work with another woman who also talks to herself. I'm processing clothes for her to hang. We both talk to ourselves and not to each other. Now there's 2 others we work with and those two actually talk to each other.

When I was small I put everything that came near my mouth in my mouth. I ate crayons and paste. If it was anywhere near my mouth it would find its way in my mouth.

I'm laughing while I post this.

I don't wear pants or jeans. I wear skirts.

Sometimes I feel closer to those online than in real life.

I speak my mind and get in trouble for it, and don't understand why

Something to think about.............

Subject: This is a GREAT one...

Something to think about.............

Please read this all the way to end.. all the way to end... This is a good thought and it could work. It won't cost anything to try.
Think about it !!

A man eats two eggs each morning for breakfast. When he goes to the grocery store he pays 60 cents a dozen. Since a dozen eggs won't last a week he normally buys two dozens at a time.

One day while buying eggs he notices that the price has risen to 72 cents. The next time he buys groceries, eggs are .76 cents a dozen. When asked to explain the price of eggs the store owner says, "the price has gone up and I have to raise my price accordingly".

This store buys 100 dozen eggs a day. I checked around for a better price and all the distributors have raised their prices. The distributors have begun to buy from the huge egg farms. The small egg farms have been driven out of business.

He checked out the huge egg farms and found they were selling 100,000 dozen eggs to the distributors daily. Nothing had changed but the price of eggs.

This pattern continues until the price of eggs is 2.00 a dozen. The man says,"there must be something we can do about the price of eggs".

He starts talking to all the people in his town and they decide to stop buying eggs. This didn't work because everyone needed eggs. Finally, the man suggested vnly buying what you need.

He ate 2 eggs a day. On the way home from work he would stop at the grocery and buy two eggs. Everyone in town started buying 2 or 3 eggs a day.

The grocery store owner began complaining that he had too many eggs in his cooler. He told the distributor that he didn't need any eggs. Maybe wouldn't need any all week.

The distributor had eggs piling up at his warehouse. He told the huge egg farms that he didn't have any room for eggs would not need any for at least two weeks.

At the egg farm, the chickens just kept on laying eggs.

The distributor told the grocery store owner that he would lower the price of the eggs if the store would start buying again. The grocery store owner said, "I don't have room for more eggs. The customers are only buy 2 or 3 eggs at a time".
"Now if you were to drop the price of eggs back down to the original price, the customers would start buying by the dozen again".

Finally, the egg farmers lowered the price of their eggs. But only a few
cents. The customers still bought 2 or 3 eggs at a time. They said, "when the price of eggs gets down to where it was before, we will start buying by the
dozen."

Slowly the price of eggs started dropping. The distributors had to slash their prices to make room for the eggs coming from the egg farmers. The egg farmers cut their prices because the distributors wouldn't buy at a higher price than they were selling eggs for.

Anyway, they had full warehouses and wouldn't need eggs for quite a while.

And them chickens kept on laying.

Eventually, the egg farmers cut their prices because they were throwing away eggs they couldn't sell. The distributors started buying again because the eggs were priced to where the stores could afford to sell them at the lower price.

And the customers starting buying by the dozen again.

Now, transpose this analogy to the gasoline industry.

What if everyone only bought $10.00 worth of gas each time they pulled to the pump. The dealers tanks would stay semi full all the time. The dealers wouldn't have room for the gas coming from the huge tank farms. The tank farms wouldn't have room for the gas coming from the refining plants. And the refining plants wouldn't have room for the oil being off loaded from the huge tankers coming from the Middle East.

Just $10.00 each time you buy gas. Don't fill it up. You may have to stop for gas twice a week but, the price should come down.

Think about it.

As an added note..When I buy $10.00 worth of gas, that leaves my tank a little under half full. The way prices are jumping around, you can buy gas for $2.65 a gallon and then the next morning it can be $2.15. If you have your tank full of $2.65 gas you don't have room for the $2.15 gas. You might not understand the economics of only buying two eggs at a time but, you can't buy cheaper gas if your tank is full of the high priced stuff.

Also, don't buy anything else at the gas station, no cigarettes, no bread, milk or chewing gum, don't give them any more of your hard earned money than what you spend on gas, until the prices come down.. Oh, some folks may not see this message. Can you afford to print 10 at a time and pass them out where you buy gas? If you can afford more, you may think of putting them on windshields at the mall.
