My trip to Texas...

Ok, so you want to hear about my trip to Texas. Dad and I went to visit my uncle who lives there. My cousin and her family also live there. We got to see them all. We went to the Texas Motor Speedway. I learned a few things about racing. For instance, I didn't know they had a place for pit stops if they need to do stuff. They also have a place called Victory Lane to take pictures of the winning car and person.

We also went on a ride in my uncle's boat. I haven't been on a boat in I don't know how long. I had a blast.

My cousin and I also had a manicure.

That visit was short and sweet.

On the way home from Texas...

I have been told it was time for a new post. I don't always do as I'm told. Well, here goes. It is time for a new post.

Dad and I went to Texas to visit my uncle. On our way home, when we arrived at the airport, before going through security, dad decided to look for his car keys. He looked in his pockets, they weren't there. He looked through his luggage, they weren't there. He kept gong back and forth, franticly looking for those car keys. He didn't find them. We were making all these plans on what we were going to do. Dad got a hold of my uncle.

What we ended up doing was spending an extra day in Texas. And then back to the airport.

Sorry this is so short, but I had to make a quick post to let all of you out there knwo I am still alive and kicking.

I must get more regular with this.

6 Weird things about me...

Hmmm, I wonder what they could be?

I talk to myself all the tine. I even hold conversations with myself. It's so funny at work, I work with another woman who also talks to herself. I'm processing clothes for her to hang. We both talk to ourselves and not to each other. Now there's 2 others we work with and those two actually talk to each other.

When I was small I put everything that came near my mouth in my mouth. I ate crayons and paste. If it was anywhere near my mouth it would find its way in my mouth.

I'm laughing while I post this.

I don't wear pants or jeans. I wear skirts.

Sometimes I feel closer to those online than in real life.

I speak my mind and get in trouble for it, and don't understand why

Something to think about.............

Subject: This is a GREAT one...

Something to think about.............

Please read this all the way to end.. all the way to end... This is a good thought and it could work. It won't cost anything to try.
Think about it !!

A man eats two eggs each morning for breakfast. When he goes to the grocery store he pays 60 cents a dozen. Since a dozen eggs won't last a week he normally buys two dozens at a time.

One day while buying eggs he notices that the price has risen to 72 cents. The next time he buys groceries, eggs are .76 cents a dozen. When asked to explain the price of eggs the store owner says, "the price has gone up and I have to raise my price accordingly".

This store buys 100 dozen eggs a day. I checked around for a better price and all the distributors have raised their prices. The distributors have begun to buy from the huge egg farms. The small egg farms have been driven out of business.

He checked out the huge egg farms and found they were selling 100,000 dozen eggs to the distributors daily. Nothing had changed but the price of eggs.

This pattern continues until the price of eggs is 2.00 a dozen. The man says,"there must be something we can do about the price of eggs".

He starts talking to all the people in his town and they decide to stop buying eggs. This didn't work because everyone needed eggs. Finally, the man suggested vnly buying what you need.

He ate 2 eggs a day. On the way home from work he would stop at the grocery and buy two eggs. Everyone in town started buying 2 or 3 eggs a day.

The grocery store owner began complaining that he had too many eggs in his cooler. He told the distributor that he didn't need any eggs. Maybe wouldn't need any all week.

The distributor had eggs piling up at his warehouse. He told the huge egg farms that he didn't have any room for eggs would not need any for at least two weeks.

At the egg farm, the chickens just kept on laying eggs.

The distributor told the grocery store owner that he would lower the price of the eggs if the store would start buying again. The grocery store owner said, "I don't have room for more eggs. The customers are only buy 2 or 3 eggs at a time".
"Now if you were to drop the price of eggs back down to the original price, the customers would start buying by the dozen again".

Finally, the egg farmers lowered the price of their eggs. But only a few
cents. The customers still bought 2 or 3 eggs at a time. They said, "when the price of eggs gets down to where it was before, we will start buying by the
dozen."

Slowly the price of eggs started dropping. The distributors had to slash their prices to make room for the eggs coming from the egg farmers. The egg farmers cut their prices because the distributors wouldn't buy at a higher price than they were selling eggs for.

Anyway, they had full warehouses and wouldn't need eggs for quite a while.

And them chickens kept on laying.

Eventually, the egg farmers cut their prices because they were throwing away eggs they couldn't sell. The distributors started buying again because the eggs were priced to where the stores could afford to sell them at the lower price.

And the customers starting buying by the dozen again.

Now, transpose this analogy to the gasoline industry.

What if everyone only bought $10.00 worth of gas each time they pulled to the pump. The dealers tanks would stay semi full all the time. The dealers wouldn't have room for the gas coming from the huge tank farms. The tank farms wouldn't have room for the gas coming from the refining plants. And the refining plants wouldn't have room for the oil being off loaded from the huge tankers coming from the Middle East.

Just $10.00 each time you buy gas. Don't fill it up. You may have to stop for gas twice a week but, the price should come down.

Think about it.

As an added note..When I buy $10.00 worth of gas, that leaves my tank a little under half full. The way prices are jumping around, you can buy gas for $2.65 a gallon and then the next morning it can be $2.15. If you have your tank full of $2.65 gas you don't have room for the $2.15 gas. You might not understand the economics of only buying two eggs at a time but, you can't buy cheaper gas if your tank is full of the high priced stuff.

Also, don't buy anything else at the gas station, no cigarettes, no bread, milk or chewing gum, don't give them any more of your hard earned money than what you spend on gas, until the prices come down.. Oh, some folks may not see this message. Can you afford to print 10 at a time and pass them out where you buy gas? If you can afford more, you may think of putting them on windshields at the mall.

Choices

LET IT REALLY SINK IN - THEN CHOOSE .

John is the kind of guy you love to hate. He is always in a good mood and always has something positive to say. When someone would ask him how he was doing, he would reply, "If I were any better, I would be twins!"

He was a natural motivator. If an employee was having a bad day, John was there telling the employee how to look on the positive side of the situation.

Seeing this style really made me curious, so one day I went up and asked him "I don't get it! You can't be a positive person all of the time. How do you do it?"

He replied, "Each morning I wake up and say to myself, you have two choices today. You can choose to be in a good mood or ... you can choose to be in a bad mood. I choose to be in a good mood." Each time something bad happens, I can choose to be a victim or...I can choose to learn from it. I choose to learn from it.

Every time someone comes to me complaining, I can choose to accept their complaining or... I can point out the positive side of life. I choose the positive side of life.

"Yeah, right, it's not that easy," I protested.

"Yes, it is," he said. "Life is all abou t choices. When you cut away all the junk, every situation is a choice. You choose how you react to situations. You choose how people affect your mood.

You choose to be in a good mood or bad mood. The bottom line: It's your choice how you live your life."

I reflected on what he said. Soon hereafter, I left the Tower Industry to start my own business. We lost touch, but I often thought about him when I made a choice about life instead of reacting to it.

Several years later, I heard that he was involved in a serious accident, falling some 60 feet from a communications tower.

After 18 hours of surgery and weeks of intensive care, he was released from the hospital with rods placed in his back.

I saw him about six months after the accident.

When I asked him how he was, he replied, "If I were any better, I'd be twins..Wanna see my scars?"

I declined to s ee his wounds, but I did ask him what had gone through his mind as the accident took place.

"The first thing that went through my mind was the well-being of my soon-to-be born daughter," he replied. "Then, as I lay on the ground, I remembered that I had two choices: I could choose to live or...I could choose to die. I chose to live."

"Weren't you scared? Did you lose consciousness?" I asked.

He continued, "..the paramedics were great. They kept telling me I was going to be fine. But when they wheeled me into the ER and I saw the expressions on the faces of the doctors and nurses, I got really scared. In their eyes, I read 'he's a dead man'. I knew I needed to take action."

"What did you do?" I asked.

"Well, there was a big burly nurse shouting questions at me," said John. She asked if I was allergic to anything. 'Yes, I replied.' The doctors and nurses stopped working as they waited for my reply. I took a deep breath and yelled, 'Gravity'."

Over their laughter, I told them, "I am choosing to live. Operate on me as if I am alive, not dead."

He lived, thanks to the skill of his doctors, but also because of his amazing attitude... I learned from him that every day we have the choice to live fully.

Attitude, after all, is everything .

Found something interesting at work the other day...

I work at a thrift store. I process donated clothing. I was processing as usual on Saturday after lunch as I always do and found old passports and airline tickets and an old Cingular bill. I threw that all away. I found some Wells Fargo envelopes and was about to throw them away as well, but decided to have a look. Something in those particular envelopes felt hard like folded paper. That's exactly what I thought it was. I looked anyway. And do you know what I saw? You wanna guess? Go ahead and guess. I always wondered what I would do in this situation. Read on to find out what happened and what I did about it.

I found lots of money. I started to count it. I lost count after $2,000. There were 7 envelopes that had $1,000 each in them. I was speechless. I told the store manager what I found. She brought two other people in her office with us. She counted the money while we all watched. I was dumbfounded. I could barely talk.

The store manager made a few phone calls. I had told someone about the plane tickets and Cingular bill. Someone fetched them out of the garbage and brought those back to the office. The store manager called the police. We went back to work. The police came and talked to me for a few minutes. He picked up the money.

Evidently the policeman called whoever's name was on the plane tickets because they came by later and donated more stuff and to say "thank you" to me for finding the money. They even gave me a reward for turning it in.

I admire people who do that type of thing and always wondered what I would do if I was ever in that situation. Now I know.

Something contoversial...

Let's try a new twist on here shall we?

I am against abortion. To me, abortion is murder. Life begins at conception as far as I'm concerned. You wouldn't kill a baby who was just born would you? Why kill that baby in the fetus stage then? That's where that baby's life begins is in the womb. Abortion is not seeing what you're doing away with. I guess these pro murdering unborn babies people think if you don't see it, it doesn't exist.

Ok let me ask you this. If that fetus is not a human, why bother to eat healthy stuff when you're pregnant? Life is growing inside of you. Just because you don't see that life doesn't mean its not a life.

I've been dycked!

Dyck does not like my blog at all. I really don't care how he feels about this blog. It does not belong to him. It is mine, all mine! It is mine to do with what I want. For one thing, I NEVER EVER asked him to do this. I resent the fact that he did. This blog may not be good, but it is my blog. I just have to think of stuff to write about. I keep my thoughts to myself, that way I don't get into trouble. When I speak my mind, that's when I get into trouble. It happens at work all the time, so I just keep my mouth shut.

He doesn't like anything about this blog at all. Too bad Dyck! This is my blog not yours! If you don't like my blog stay away. Don't come here anymore.

He doesn't like the pictures of my lambs. Too bad! I like those pictures. So what if they don't match. They are on my blog to stay. If you don't like them, don't look. If you don't like my clock, don't look at it! And the lamb on the lounge chair was made for me by someone on Police Hub. It means a lot to me and I want to show it off and will do so whether you like it or not. He thinks I have a twisted mind, he thinks that lamb is smoking crack in a crack pipe! I knew right off it was a drink in the lambs hand. (or paw, whichever you prefer.) He must be on drugs to know what a crack pipe looks like.

Hs also doesn't like the fact I haven't changed my blog at all. I like this blog and have no desire to change it at this time. I like the colors and everything about it. So too bad Dyckie.

He thinks I have Satanic messages hidden in the Bible passages that are on here. He probably never opened a real Bible in his life.

He said and I quote: "I'm almost ashamed to have this blog affilated with the Mighty Blog Network. I mean, even I have my standards." I'm kind of ashamed to be associated with it because of the filth he posts. He swears in every one of his posts.

There are people who like to come here. Dyck is not one of them. In fact, he has a forum that hardly anyone goes to. It's so boring he can't even give it away for free.

And another thing, be careful if you go to Dyckies dead forum. He has been known to change my psots. He might change yours too. And watch out for Revree, too, his sidekick. She told me I was so close to being banned and I didn't even do anything! He has banned me several times because I said I was never banned. So be very careful if you ever go there. These people play rough. They're like little kids posing as adults.

I haven't blogged in a while...

As the post says, I haven't blogged in a while. The real reason? Laziness. I'll fess up. The real reason is because I've been spending time at a cop forum. I now belong to two faithfully. This latest one is www.5ive-o.org I've made some friends there. Its a fun group of people and not everybody is a cop.

I could say something disagreeable like, I'm against abortion, but I may post my true feelings on the subject another tine.

I've been tagged, again...

I keep getting tagged. I don't know how this happens. The tags seem interesting though.

Here's the latest tag:

List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they're any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying now. Post these instructions in your blog along with your seven songs. Then tag seven other people to see what they're listening to.

Christian Music

1 - Lord, Lead Me On
2 - The Family of God
3 - Great Is Thy Faithfulness
4 - He Keeps Me Singing
5 - Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus
6 - The Joy of Jesus
7 - For Those Tears I Died

I can't think of seven people off hand, but will tag Rain, Frankie, Ewink, can't think of anybody else right now.

On second thought...

I'm keeping this one. I don't want to have to go through all that work of moving everything. Now I have to think of what to post. Any ideas?

Valentines Day

Some people may enjoy Valentine's Day while others do not because they have no one to share it with. It doesn't bother me one way or the other. For me its just another day. I know people who got marreid on Valentines Day. You know, its pretty smart because then they won't forget their anniversary. This way they won't forget to get a gift.

On the outside this may seem very smart. But it really isn't. Its rather cheap on their part. Anybody who didn't get married on Valentine's day gets an anniversary gift and then Valentines Day comes they get a Valentines Day gift. Those who got married on Valentines Day get an anniversary gift and a Valentines Day gift in one. That way the man not only has to get one gift he is also a hero for remembering his anniversary. So those who got married on Valentines DAy only have to remember their spouses birthday and then Christmas.

If you have your anniversary on any other day but Valentines Day the spouse gets more gifts. A married couple has their anniversary, birthday, Christmas, and Valentines Day in which they get gifts. That's four times a year. Now if you combine Valentines Day and your anniversary you get one less gift.

But on the other hand, if you get married on Valentines Day neither husband or wife will forget their anniversary. You have a chance of one or the other forgetting their anniversary if its on any other day. So there's pros and cons to it.

Survivor...

Survivor was EXCELLENT tonight. New twists and turns in this one. I realize they have to keep coming up with new stuff every now and then, but I really think this is going to be really really exciting. They still have 16 peope but they divided them up into four groups. Same gender and age group. Four Older men, four older women, for younger men, 4 younger women. They also have an Exile Island.

They started off with a reward challenge. Three groups won, one group lost. The group that lozt had to select someone to stay on Exile Island. The loner was alone on the island. No shelter, no way to make fire, limited supplies. They also have to find an immunity idol that is hidden somewhere on the island. If one of the players gets their hands on that idol. They can use it. They can do with it what tney wnat. If their team goes to Tribal council, and that person who has the idol is voted off, they can show that they have the immunity idol. Whoever has the next amount of votes goes, leaves the island.

Should be interesting since their are 4 members per group. I wonder if they will ever merge into one big group? What happens if you loose all of your members and you're the only one left in that group and there are other groups? Do you go into another group or do you go to Exile Island and wait for a challnege? So many unanswered questions.

I wonder where I can rip off some Survivor pics to show you what these 16 people look like? I wonder if CBS would mind if I "borrowed some of their pictures?" I better look elsewhere first. Or you could go to http://www.cbs.com/ to see for yourself. Let me know what you decide to do so I know how to proceed.

Remembering what months have 30 days and which months have 31 days..

I have trouble remembering which months have how many days. So yesterday I made a list of months and how many days in each

January.......31
February.....28
March..........31
April.............30
May..............31
June.............30
July...............31
August..........31
September.....30
October.........31
November.....30
December.....31

Believe it or not, I am trying to memorize this.

I did find another way.

Thirty days has September. How many remmeber that rhyme? Raise your hands and say "Me, me! I remember that!" Well I don't. I should memorize that too. I found it on a Nursery Rhyme site. Here it is:

THIRTY DAYS HAS SEPTEMBER

Thirty days has Septmeber,
April, June and November.
All the rest have thirty-one,
Saving February alone,
Which has twenty-eight, rain or shine.
And on leap years, twenty-nine!

What to say???

I never know what to say here. This is my personal space online. And I don't know what to put here. Gee whiz. I have wanted my own site but I never knew what I would do. You know what? I still don't know what to do with it. I guess this is my space to play around with. I think I may be getting the hang of this blogging. You've got to press all the buttons and see what they do.

Another thing I always wanted was my very own forum where I'd be in charge. But who would come to visit and post there? I do know a few online people, but is it enough to start a forum with? What would I do if someone gave me a hard time?

I don't have leadership qualities. I don't have a following like some do online. I tell people about my blog and some even come to see it, but don't leave comments.

What is one to do? Any suggestions?
